Fake drugs and counterfeit products are silently destroying lives across Nigeria. Today, a 33 year old, Etinosasere Ogiekpolor, is battling Chronic Kidney Disease affecting both kidneys. He was diagnosed on October 30, 2025. I visited him at Edo Specialist Hospital while he was undergoing dialysis. His condition is critical, and doctors have confirmed that he urgently needs a kidney transplant to survive. This is a race against time. We cannot stand by and watch a young life fade away. Please he needs our support now. Your contribution will go a long way in the journey to saving his life. Phone number: 08160078588 Account number: 4021427469 Fidelity Bank Ogiekpolor Osasenaga

They were born twenty five months apart. They died the same day. Two brothers. Same blood. Same uniform. Same battlefield. Nigerian Army wasn’t just a job to them it was purpose. One was calm. One was fire. But in the end, both stood for the same thing: Nigeria. Until the day an ambush ended everything. One fell. The other ran to save him. Both never came back. Back home, Their mother didn’t scream. She just went quiet the kind of silence that never leaves. Their father? A man broken without making a sound. Years later… the war is still not over. But something else started. Reintegration. Repentant Terrorist. Rehabilitated insurgents. Repentant bandits. “Second chances.” Forgetting that no terrorist truly ever repent.....a k!ller is a k!ller. And suddenly, the same men who pulled triggers… who ambushed soldiers… who left families burying dreams… …are being rehabilitated and returned to society. Now imagine being a soldier. You watched your brother-in-arms bleed out beside you. You carried bodies. You buried friends. You survived what many didn’t. Then one day, you’re told: “The people who did this deserve another chance.” Imagine being that father and mother. You lost two sons to the same bullets. No justice. No closure. No answers. Then you hear on the TV or radio that the k!llers are being forgiven. Their only question: “Will our sons come back too?” This is where it hurts. Not just grief but contradiction. A country asking its soldiers to die for it… while asking them to accept that those who killed their brothers can walk free again. Call it policy. Call it strategy. But to the families… to the men still fighting… It feels like something else, it's barbaric: A wound that keeps reopening. Because some people get a second chance… And some never even got to finish their first. May their soul rest in peace 🕊️.

We often concede too much to political leaders, assuming they fully grasp the complexities of economics and governance. Take Rotimi Amaechi asking, “Where are the savings from subsidy removal? Where is the money going?” — yen yen yen. Ordinarily, that sounds like the kind of question you hear at a newspaper stand or over beer parlour arguments. But governance is not that simplistic. If you were previously borrowing heavily through CBN Ways and Means to sustain subsidy payments, and you now remove that burden, does it automatically translate into “cash savings” sitting somewhere waiting to be shared? Huh What you have done is stop the bleeding, reduce fiscal pressure, and create room to stabilise the system not magically generate surplus cash overnight. So the conversation should be deeper than catchy questions. Because economics is not “stop spending today, start counting money tomorrow. Man to ma fi Owo te ba di yen.……Smh

Newspaper Review… when you're the Vice President showing the experience you claimed.. March 2005: NBC shut down Freedom Radio (Kano) for two weeks, citing violations of the broadcasting code. Activists and journalists at the time linked it to the station airing a song critical of President Obasanjo’s alleged third-term bid. This was presented as enforcement for content that allegedly overheated the polity. 23 October 2005: NBC shut down RayPower Radio and Africa Independent Television (AIT) — leading private stations owned by DAAR Communications — for alleged “unprofessional coverage” of a plane crash (Bellview Airlines Flight 210). 28 March 2006: NBC imposed specific sanctions on Freedom Radio, including a N200,000 fine (payable within 48 hours), a ban on operations between 5 pm and 10 pm daily, and prohibitions on political programmes plus certain Hausa-language shows (e.g., Kowa Ya Tuna Bara, Kowane Gauta, Kowane Tsuntsu). Sir, the Internet never forgets ooo
Atiku Abubakar@atiku

The Code of Conduct advisory issued by the National Broadcasting Commission is yet another troubling attempt to muzzle the media and shrink the space for free expression in Nigeria. Our media industry has grown into a formidable institution, respected globally for its resilience and professionalism. It is therefore alarming that, each time elections approach, the NBC resorts to heavy-handed directives that do more to silence dissent than to uphold ethical journalism. I stand firmly with Nigeria’s broadcast industry and all media platforms resisting this creeping censorship. Let it be clear: ethical standards are not seasonal tools to be weaponised during campaigns, they are constant obligations. The timing and tone of these regulations expose a deeper agenda. It signals a government more interested in controlling narratives than permitting a free, fair, and transparent electoral process. –AA

The Sokoto-Badagry highway is important and will transform the Norrhern corridor while Lagos-Calabar coastal highway is not important and a cesspool of corruption. Wailers are now boldly throwing their biases and bigotry in our faces unapologetically, but they have forgotten that the fruits are always bitter.😀

So the FG Household Conditional Cash Transfer payment registration is ongoing, I saw people gathered in my area and then asked what was happening, people were checking if their names have been approved for the scheme or not, while those who are yet to be enrolled submitted their data. So why is the media team of this administration not talking about it, if I had not bumped into them today I wouldn't have seen it.

🪖 GOOD NEWS FROM BORNO!!! 🇳🇬Troops of Operation Hadin Kai just discovered and safely detonated an IED planted by insurgents at the exit gate of Mairari town along the Gajiram axis. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal team spotted the device around 9:00 a.m., carried out a controlled detonation, and swept the entire area to confirm it was clear. No casualties. No damage. Our boys are on high alert, scanning routes and protecting communities from these cowards who target innocent people. The heat is on. We dey watch every corner! Terrorists, your time is up. 💪🇳🇬 #OperationHadinKai #ThankASoldier #ForGodAndCountryAlways

Nigeria and Turkey have reached a major defence agreement, with 200 training slots secured for Nigerian Special Forces. During his official visit to Turkey, Nigeria’s Defence Minister, Christopher Gwabin Musa, met with Turkish Defence Minister Yaşar Güler to finalize plans on joint defence production and military technology transfer. He added that deployment of the selected soldiers for training will begin immediately upon his return to Nigeria.

I know a Captain currently in the North-East. Every Sunday at 12:00 PM, he walks to the one spot in the camp where the signal is strong enough for a quick video call to his wife in Lagos. He doesn't talk about the heat or the danger. He talks about his daughter’s grades and the Sunday meal he’s missing. He hides the fear so she can feel the strength. To all the families waiting for a Sunday call: you are the silent heroes of this war. We see your sacrifice.
