@fordnation Congrats. You're fixing a problem you created. This was already a law, but you scrapped it in your first year as premier.

@NightShiftMD The team is always desperate. They get in their own way when trying to win, and they overhype players and pay too much to either acquire or retain them. Then when they sell, everybody knows they're desperate so they have no leverage.

Explain to me why there is a #Leafs discount to every player they trade and a premium to every player they acquire. This spans several GMs over a long period of time. It's not just a Tre or Dubas thing.

Doug Ford is now exempting himself, his office and his cabinet from Freedom of Information (FOI) requests. FOIs are a basic way journalists hold governments in Canada to account. This crosses the line between a healthy democracy and a decline toward autocracy. This cannot stand.

@PaulSmith1921 @strength345 @MaritStiles I agree re: NDP. But Ford and the PCs have had a majority for 8 years. It's on them to solve these problems. Can you genuinely name something he's done to improve the lives of Ontarians?

@strength345 @MaritStiles There is fault with Ford. There’s also zero evidence the NDP has a better solution. Pretending complex, multi-level failures belong to one guy is just politics, not problem-solving.

At the start of the year, Doug Ford promised to protect Ontario. At the end of the year: a new corruption scandal, record unemployment, the worst manufacturing numbers since 1976, skyrocketing costs, endless health care waits, no new homes. And the government sat for just 51 days.
Isaac Callan@isaaccallan

Vanishing act? Between the early election and the 19-week summer break, the Ford government cut 12 weeks from its sitting calendar this year. In total, MPPs sat for 51 days. #OnPoli This is how long they were meant to sit, and then how many weeks were removed. 👇

@mario4thenorth Is it a betrayal though? More than 50% of the constituents in his riding voted for liberal and progressive candidates (and against the Conservatives), so he's choosing to represent those constituents.

UNPRECEDENTED It’s very likely that Mark Carney will form a majority government. Rumours are that several more will cross the floor. Canadians did not vote for this. This is a betrayal to all Canadians.

@Gramma350 Hasn't he said he'd cancel the tax? What's the point of this post, when he's already said the opposite of what this accuses him of?

Trudeau should appoint a fictional Canadian television character as fentanyl czar and see how long it takes Trump to notice.

@RpsAgainstTrump Well now we will have a Fentanyl Czar, so there's that if he really needs to hang his hat on something.

@AMacGregor4CML I wish you were right. I want you to be right. But walking around and listening to people lately, it is not about the events. PP has people brainwashed to think anything other than him is corrupt. I hate to say it, but he has this in the bag.

Credit where credit is due. Great job to the @cityofhamilton on the York Boulevard work. Efficiently done, and a great starting point for a better usage of what SHOULD be #HamOnt's grand welcome way. And, of course, big thanks to @ward1wilson!

Bike lanes are good for business, workers, and customers. People who bike & walk spend more at local shops. Safer streets = more customers & better business. Let's build strong Ontario main street economies through diverse transportation options. 🔗 - businessinsider.nl/i-read-all-the…

"You know you're not allowed to park here?" "I don't care" This is the type of attitude we protect when we don't protect bicycle lanes and hand out minor parking penalties 5% of the time.

Highest wall socket I've seen in a while. Could be wall mounted air con or maybe a plug in downflow heater. Very frustrating not knowing the origin story

@jimmygandhi @wanyeburkett @AttyAbdul Totally agree that they should be ticketed and fined! Unfortunately where I live is very much a car-first city, and when I lived on a one-way residential street, cars would regularly go the wrong way as a shortcut to get home, rather than going around the block.

@iamrobmann @wanyeburkett @AttyAbdul They should be ticketed and receive high fines. Rolling stops are not acceptable. I have never seen a car go the wrong way where I am. And in my state driving on the wrong side can be a classified as a felony.

I am all for bicycle safety, but cyclists need to follow the rules of the road also. How many times have you seen a cyclist run a stop sign, or for that matter a red light? axios.com/local/indianap…

@jimmygandhi @wanyeburkett @AttyAbdul To be fair I wonder the same thing about cars when I'm walking around. Most cars mayyybe make a rolling stop and turn without indicating, and it's not uncommon to see cars go the wrong direction on a one-way for a little short cut to get home.

@wanyeburkett @AttyAbdul I would like there to be rules that bicyclists are expected to follow so I know what to expect. Every time I encounter a bicyclist on the road I wonder if they'll turn without a signal, run a stop sign or red light, or drive on the wrong side of the road.
