But can you then explain why ESPN would immediately cut from Playoff broadcasts to NBA coverage? While over on TNT we have Charles Barkley saying “thank god for the NHL”

@DavidCBets I am quite new to following hockey but acting like ESPN has gave any serious attention/love to the NBA is absolutely ridiculous. It’s more ESPN being bad than what you are saying.

I have an insane theory that ESPN took over NHL coverage just so they could try and nuke its popularity to give more attention to the NBA. Might not even be absurd to believe anymore.
