@kevvwill If I were to guess, I'd say it might be because she was a part of building Femeni in a way that Messi wasn't for the men's team. He helped them reach new heights for sure, but foundations were already laid. She was on the ground floor and built this shit brick by brick.

Alexia Putellas is a club legend, a footballing Gigantor and an absolute queen. So much of being a legend is knowing when to leave as well. Like Xavi, she is going out on top, having helped Barça win all the trophies. Eternal gratitude.
