Let us be clear: the 'friends of St. Giles' in Hamilton are not St. Giles' friends. We invite them to stand down from their unfounded agitation and work with New Vision as a respected neighbour on our plans for desperately needed affordable housing.

2SLGBTQ+ people too often spend their lives surrounded by voices of condemnation, exclusion and hatred that are loud and persistent, including when couched in "we love you, but......".

A reminder that, in parable of the great dinner (Matt 22:1-14) when the host must find guests to fill the banquet hall, none were told they had to "change" or make a pledge before they could take their seat.

When we participate in Christ's church, we accept an invitation to a banquet to which others, including 2SLGBTQ+ folks, have already been welcomed.

Imagine a newly elected government cancelling a promising cancer treatment trial part way through. On what knowledge/moral grounds would we accept such behavior? We wouldn't. Yet we've allowed @fordnation to cancel the #BasicIncome @HumansBasic health trial. That's disgusting.
