A few weeks ago @Wilco tweeted about a signed guitar up for auction for charity and I knew I had to have it. 😍

English

@mattpocockuk @jacobmparis I think it would work for that as well. It’s basically like having multiple clones but they all share one .git directory so it’s just a little more efficient. Definitely worth checking out.
English

@iansu @jacobmparis BUT - I haven't used git worktree, so maybe there's something I'm missing. Thanks for the tip!
English

@mattpocockuk @jacobmparis I like using git worktree for this so it’s only one clone of the repo but you can checkout as many branches as you want
English

@jacobmparis Yeah I tend to keep two copies of the main repo locally so I don't screw up my proper local.

@slicknet I was just waiting for it to happen. I think it might be the thing that finally makes me stop using Twitter. The official app is painful to use.

@donavon Who could forget a name as memorable as PCMCIA?

@theworstdev Happy New Year Kurt! I hope it’s a good one.
English

@kyleshevlin It does support SSR so that would probably work. I am kind of missing Next’s caching/revalidation though.
English

@kyleshevlin Yeah, that might be a bit tricky to convert to Astro. Sounds like Remix or Next.js might be better options.
English

@kyleshevlin Are you using a CSS-in-JS library? Technically you can still make a fully static site with Astro even if you use React. And if anything needs to run on the client you can do that too. The flexibility is pretty nice.
English

@kyleshevlin If you do end up rebuilding I highly recommend Astro

A long-awaited 2.5-year govt review of access-to-information law has delivered no recommendations. Experts variously called the report "tepid and incrementalist," "oblique and indirect," "almost laughable," "hollow," and a "betrayal." theglobeandmail.com/canada/article… #cdnpoli #cdnfoi
