validators run a sidecar process that queries the evm for the data and ensures it’s being properly maintained and attested to, the yield is delivered straight to the AF like fees are and the buys automate from there.
How often that yield is being delivered by coinbase is not yet fully understood but usdh was attesting monthly but sending weekly iirc

This timing is interesting
We know Hyperliquid keeps thing under wraps.
But it cant be a coincidence that NYSE and CME pushes the US to regulate HL over “market manipulation” during the same period of time jeff was in Washington talking with policy makers.
Probably a misinterpretation from the journalists/odd choice of words
But it would be a hilarious trope if it was a failed attempt to manipulate the market/pure jealousy.

I spent the past few days in Washington with @hyperliquidpc meeting with policymakers during the historic advancement of the Clarity Act. We discussed Hyperliquid, the benefits that it offers to American consumers, and the regulatory path to bring onchain derivatives markets into the United States. Some conversations were technical with an impressive baseline understanding of Hyperliquid. Discussions included how onchain trading is a financial innovation that has clear global user demand. Other conversations focused more on a first principles introduction to defi and the promise of onchain markets. It was encouraging to see bipartisan support for thoughtful regulation of crypto. I look forward to continuing discussions in DC and working hard to make American access to Hyperliquid a reality.

they just inked an agreement with CRCL and we have BHYP. the reason HL is operated outside of the US and geoblock Americans on the frontend is due to regulatory uncertainty. CFTC didn't provide any pathway for perpetual futures when HL started. prediction markets have a more developed legal framework
