You’re framing this like it’s just a couple people quietly praying for five minutes when it’s clearly large, organized groups taking over public space. No one cares about private prayer. The issue is scale and setting. NYC is a shared city, not a place for mass religious demonstrations in public areas. Bringing up Gaza doesn’t change that. Deflecting to global politics doesn’t justify what’s happening locally. Two things can be true at once and this isn’t the argument you think it is. And telling Jews to “stop living in fear” while antisemitism is rising right now is completely out of touch. This isn’t about 1940s history, it’s about what’s happening today. People are allowed to call out double standards without being dismissed as “uncomfortable.” At the end of the day, this is about equal standards. Same rules for everyone.

Hey Apple, why are we forced to have Islamic holidays on our calendars as US holidays? We are not a country that was founded on Islamic principles; we are a nation under God. We were founded on Judeo-Christian values, which is why we're able to have religious freedoms. They're trying to push tolerance of an ideology that does not tolerate us. We are not one big united world; their culture makes sure of that. I do not want to be mindful of Islamic holidays. I do not want them on my calendar. I do not want them to be normalized.
