@lenardork @GA_Reviews And let me add, this isn’t just me saying Genshin is bad, it’s me just saying that WuWa is amazing. I still think Genshin is killing it (can’t wait for Snezhnaya in August), but WuWa is different. WuWa changed what a gacha game can be imo

@lenardork @GA_Reviews That’s cool, if that’s how you feel. But as someone who’s been playing both Genshin and WuWa since day 1 (and still playing both), I can’t stress this enough but…WuWa is sooo NOT just “basically the same as Genshin but with better combat” 😂 I loveee Genshin but I mean…hello?

Nah no one could make me hate NTE, this is the closest a gacha has come to feeling like a "real game" since Genshin. The city feels more alive than most AAA open world games and the attention to detail is INSANE!

Went to the tower that has the highest point in the map in NTE thinking there would be some sort of loading screen. Nope. Just hop in the elevator. Had a person or two pop into chat and ask if this was a "gacha slop" game and I really do get the sentiment to a degree but I have to admit I have a lot of fun in these games. We have moved far beyond these games even needing to be labeled as "gacha". I get that due to their monetization model they are viewed as automatically "inferior" and I don't want to defend them but I see stuff like this and can't help but get excited. Plus NTE doesn't have the god awful 50/50 system which I abhor. I played it like 7 hours today. I REALLY like it. It's a good video game.

Gaming in your 40s is hilarious. Sometimes you don’t game for a week. Some days you get 8-10 hours to game your heart out. Other days you pass out with the controller in your hand. And on a day off you’re up at 6 am ready to get your game on. Good times 😂

@Micol_Bell Might be a hot take, but I think they're doing it the right way. Adventure and story can improve (live service game), combat might be more difficult to improve when you already laid down the roots but it's possible. I think they did right by focusing on the open world for launch

Iirc, Mihoyo said in early days they need $200 million per year to develop the game. Gacha game with live service and quick updates frequency needs more budget to develop as they need more manpower
