@BogdaninFl @AdarWeinreb Yeah me too. They should be able to somehow snick a camera in to the prison and capture videos of them being abused. A whole lot of people explaining vividly what was done to them separately definitely means nothing

Peter Obi and Kwankwaso have given the Muslim-Muslim clerics another chance to develop a brand style. As I said earlier, even if the ADC handed their mandate over to Peter Obi on a platter, he would still lose woefully against Tinubu. He will never be a sellable candidate in the North. Bola Tinubu will use his clerics to finish him and flog him on election day.

If you’re in Nigeria and your MTN data disappears faster than money in your account, you’re not crazy. 15GB weekly is now ₦6,000. Not too long ago, that same thing was around ₦2,000. 1GB now averages around ₦575. Everybody keeps shouting “telcos are thieves”. But after digging through NCC reports, MTN financials, global pricing data, and industry numbers… the reality is way more uncomfortable than that. This whole thing is deeper than people think.

Buhari held these desperate rigid views in 2003, 2007 & 2011, right up until 2015. Perhaps Peter Obi & Rabiu Kwankwaso are simply going through that same learning curve. As politically dominant as Buhari was in Northern Nigeria, he couldn’t win a presidential election on his own. He had to build alliances & forge a strong national coalition before emerging victorious defeating an incumbent. Asiwaju is incumbent. Politically more experienced than Jonathan. What are you really thinking? I wish Obi & Kwankwaso all the best.

Senior UAE official Reem Al Hashimy on Iran: We are everything that they’re not. We used our oil wealth to build an economic powerhouse. They used theirs for nuclear programs, missiles, drones, proxies. We became a responsible global player; they are a pariah state. They underestimated us.

Kwankwaso is not “my boss” he’s an elder statesman and I respect him so much. English isn’t a yardstick for intelligence but the official language spoken in Nigeria is English and as a “self acclaimed national chairman” he should be able to communicate with everyone in our official language. So now what does he do when he meets party members from anambra who can’t speak Hausa ?
Foundational Hausa Man@tman_adam

You're not partisan? Are you sure about that? This shouldn’t come from someone who constantly visits Kwankwaso and posts about it on his social media page. I know you don’t like the man because he has issues with your boss Kwankwaso, but come on, saying his spoken English is bad says a lot about your mentality. Is English now the standard to measure intelligence? You should focus on your car business and stop being hypocritical because of your affiliation with politicians, unless maybe they have a stake in your car business.

During World War I, Wahhabis declared the Ottomans kafir and prayed for the British to destroy them - based on the principle of "idrib al-zalimin bi-l-zalimin". Today they believe that Iran is kafir, and pray for Israel and the US to destroy it - based on the principle of "idrib al-zalimin bi-l-zalimin". Moreover, they actually believe that all the Arab lands except Saudi are kafir (e.g., Egypt, Syria, Algeria). For this reason, they hold that it is permissible to pray for Israel and the US to destroy these countries - once again, based on the principle of "idrib al-zalimin bi-l-zalimin". The only reason they do not call for Israel to destroy Egypt, Syria, and Algeria today is that it is not in Saudi's geopolitical interests. If it ever is, they will start preaching that Islam requires support of Israeli attacks. This is why it can be said that Wahhabis, by nature, are either fools with diseased hearts, or outright traitor munafiqs.

@SkinnyBoi001_ I agree with this, except the first—you can’t have any side business aside from an Agric venture as a public servant. I think I should address this too, because the comments are utterly unfair to him.

I see people questioning his wealth as if he stole funds in the past administration. The truth is: - he may have had businesses outside his salary as the president’s aide. - he may have had friends or friends of his boss who have given him some money in the past or even currently. - he may have investors willing to invest in this current project. - it may be a loan he collected to fund the project to be repaid later. … all these are possibilities.

This is a personal project very close to my heart. I am developing a Recreational Park and Sport Arena in my hometown, Gaya Local Government in Kano State. The project is a modern community hub that will combine leisure, sports, commerce and social services in one place. The facility will feature a mini stadium for football and basketball, an event centre, a restaurant, a supermarket, shops and a mosque. My vision is to build a space that will serve families, empower young people, support businesses, and become a lasting landmark of pride and progress for the good people of Gaya. Allah ya ba mu ikon kammalawa. Ameen!

I went to Kano in 2018 for a friend's wedding. A three day trip. I had never been north of Abuja before. Everything I knew about Hausa people came from news headlines and comments on the internet. I arrived with my chest tight and my bag zipped shut at all times. The wedding was beautiful. Loud. Full of colour. But on the second day I got lost. My phone died. The streets all looked the same. Red dust. White walls. Goats everywhere. I stood at a junction feeling useless. An old man selling groundnuts saw me turning in circles. He called out. I pretended not to hear. He called again. I walked toward him slowly. He asked where I was going in broken English. I showed him the wedding venue written on a paper receipt from my pocket. He closed his groundnut tray. Put a cloth over it. Told me to follow him. We walked for twenty minutes. He did not ask my name. Did not ask my tribe. Did not ask why I looked scared. He just walked ahead of me, glancing back every few steps to make sure I was still there. When we reached the venue, he pointed at the gate. Then he turned to leave. I grabbed his arm. Opened my wallet. He shook his head. Said no money. Said guest is guest. Then he walked away. I stood at that gate for a long time. Thinking about every ugly thing I had believed. Every stereotype I had carried in my luggage like an extra shirt I did not need. His name was Malam Shehu. I learned that later when I went back to his junction the next morning. Bought twenty packets of groundnuts. Sat with him for an hour. He told me about his daughter in Abuja. Her wedding next year. He was saving every kobo. I sent him money for that wedding. Not much. Enough for a new tray. Maybe two. He called me on his daughter's wedding day. I could hear drums in the background. He said thank you. Then he said something in Hausa that his neighbour translated for me later. He said a stranger is just a friend you have not sat with yet. I still think about Malam Shehu when I catch myself judging someone I have not met. The groundnut seller who closed his tray for a scared man from the south. That is the Kano I carry now. Not the headlines. Just his kindness and my shame and the love that outlived both. From my DM
