@BerbarianWizard I’ve discussed this before. The study was done for fasted vs non fasted and the benefits only persisted in those that were fasted.

~40g sugar (Gatorade) during lifting blunts cortisol (~+99% → ~+7%) and enhances muscle growth ~40–45g sugar (Gatorade) during lifting blunted cortisol (~+99% → ~+7%) and led to ~+20% greater muscle fibre growth over 12 weeks. Fat loss and lean mass changes only trended (not significant), but direction favored the carb group. Mechanism is lower cortisol → less protein breakdown → better growth and body composition signal PMID: 11905937

Incorporating carbs intra-workout (I drink 1L orange juice every session) was a game changer for me. After years of stagnation, I started gaining strength and muscle again. Carbs spike insulin, which opposes cortisol, making them anti-catabolic. Plus, your muscles need quick fuel for intense efforts, without carbs, you’ll burn through glycogen and start breaking down muscle to make glucose.

incognito mode@icg_mode

@taobanker best upside in retail is $vnce tho btw. $40m equity value on ~$13m of ebitda. tariff overhang is real for a small brand, majority of the debt is non-int bearing (op leases). $27m of rcf outstanding with capacity up to $85m, 6.6% i/y, due in 2028. comping topline +ve.

As promised, I want to share some of my research from earlier this year. I think it will help me get back into a flow and is a lot easier than launching on new names while warmed up at the same time. The first name I want to talk about is $ORLY O’Reilly Automotive.

Need some training help I want to grow my legs, and get them stronger. Enjoying my lifting sessions atm but they’re destroying my ability to run. Cut my running back from 50 miles pre LA marathon to around 25 miles a week, zero motivation to pick it up whilst i get my body in a better format of shape and strength. My legs are cooked 3 days post-lift and im training them twice a week. However I still want to run.

I’d love a mid-range clothing brand full of wardrobe essentials made of high quality materials. Just one brand that has it all.

It's going to be a truly amazing short once it's public Massive and highly liquid, tons of dilution, can't make money, large well resourced competitors, growth decelerating and poor capital allocation

Greece launches €300M emergency package to fight rising fuel and fertilizer costs. Governments around the world will “solve” the energy shortage by printing money and subsidizing consumption, thereby exacerbating the shortage and inflationary shock. Brace for inflation.

Dear @GOP @POTUS, If you want to win the midterms why wouldn’t you do this? Even a $2500 check per household. We send hundreds of billions if not trillions overseas. This would cost ~337b to offset energy costs and serve as a band aid for Americans. Fed printed 4T in 2020.
Endless Capit🅰️l@endless_frank

Dear @GOP and @POTUS, Iran was necessary, short term pain for long term gain geopolitically and for the safety of the American people and our troops abroad. For markets, it’s also short term pain, but what if we do a one time $5000 per household stimulus check to offset the cost of higher energy prices for the remainder of the year? After all, the American people likely feel that they did not vote for a new war. This would certainly negate most of the financial short term pain and also likely win the GOP votes in the midterms. As the thought creator of this program, I would wave my $5000 check for my household as it’s not something I need. @BillAckman As a supporter of the administration, why not get involved in an idea like the above so we can avoid the worst reaction in financial markets and keep our economy strong while we bridge the gap to the end of this war? Best to all, Endless Capital

🦔 Oracle laid off between 20,000 and 30,000 employees Tuesday morning, roughly 18% of its global workforce, via a single email sent at 6am EST with no prior warning. System access was revoked almost immediately after. The cuts are expected to free up $8-10 billion in cash flow. Oracle's stock has lost more than half its value since September 2025 and the company now carries over $124 billion in debt, up from $89 billion a year ago, with free cash flow running negative $10 billion last quarter. My Take Oracle posted a 95% jump in net income last quarter and still eliminated 18% of its workforce by email before most people finished their morning coffee. This is not a company in distress in the traditional sense. It's a company that made an enormous debt-funded bet on AI infrastructure and is now converting its workforce into cash flow to service that debt. We've covered Oracle's AI gamble for months. The $300 billion OpenAI deal through Stargate, $50 billion in capital expenditure this fiscal year, over $124 billion in total debt. Multiple US banks have pulled back from financing Oracle-linked data center projects. Bondholders have sued Oracle claiming it concealed how much additional debt the OpenAI deal would require. The credit default swap spread hit a three-year high earlier this year, meaning debt investors are genuinely nervous about getting paid back. The workers who got that 6am email built the products Oracle has monetized for decades. The bet that eliminated their jobs was made by people who were already paid regardless of how it turns out. That is the part of the AI infrastructure race that doesn't show up in the capex announcements. Hedgie🤗
