The US is facing a crisis of increasing power demand, based on the current grid interconnection cue there will be shortage of 66 Giga watts of power by 2035. Power isn't the only bottle neck; If you want to plug a new 100MW facility into the grid in Northern Virginia, you are not waiting 18 months; you are waiting 5 to 7 years. Dominion Energy confirmed in late 2024 that wait times had extended by another 1-3 years. xAI built “Colossus” in 122 days by bypassing the grid entirely by installing 1.1 GW of gas turbines. Amazon is doing the same for “Project Rainier”. Like with most things in the AI cycle, it can’t be build fast enough, Lead times for heavy-duty turbines are pushing into 2028-2029. The “Big Three” (GE Vernova, Siemens, Mitsubishi) are sold out. Giga watts will remain the number one choke point to alleviate over the next decade. Using this filter has allowed us to find some of the key names pivoting to address this shortage. See the full analysis in the reply.

$AXTI feels a lot like the quantum stock moves last year and is probably one of the best shorts in the market IMO - if one can deal with the insane swings and price that can/will go higher. There's growing, real demand for InP substrates but this is not memory- new capacity is going to come online every year for the foreseeable future. Additionally, even if the bottleneck catalyst played out, MOFCOM has them by the BALLS. You literally have here a company in which cannot sell their main product priced like they are the sole provider of magic Fortunately for their execs, there are no capacity constraints limiting the amount of shares they can sell to the market. And fortunately for the company, hard to burn tons of cash paying China employees $10k/yr So what knocks this thing down? Hard to say.. but once there's a catalyst, there is a LOT of wind to come out IMO

The Pentagon has previously stated the grey zone quarantine is far more likely, which is very troubling for markets all the same. In that scenario China does not fire a single missile. Instead of deploying the PLA Navy, they send the China Coast Guard. They declare a “Customs Enforcement Zone” around the island, ostensibly to inspect for weapons smuggling or enforce safety standards. The legal framing is deliberate, as this forces the United States into an impossible dilemma. If the US Navy fires on a Coast Guard cutter conducting what Beijing frames as a lawful customs inspection, Washington looks like the aggressor starting a world war over a bureaucratic dispute. If they do nothing, Taiwan is slowly strangled of LNG imports until the fabs go dark & a Taiwanese surrender is negotiated.

@Temple_Eight Considering a 13 billion dollar USA aircraft carrier got chased out of there I suspect we should stay out of it. Trump and Netanyahu started this. Send the Trump train over to deal with it.

Here’s an example of an immigrants hArD wOrK that I personally know of, as I have met this person before. A friend of mine dated her for awhile. She is a massage therapist, that got certified in every massage therapy course possible yet never massages anyone. The grift is an insurance scam, she hires 2 people to make fake massage invoices to the customers insurance company and they split the payment with the “customer” 50/50. She was apparently massaging 16 people a day. She got investigated because they invoiced for a 6 month old baby for massages every day for 2 weeks which means a family will cash in on half of all their dependent benefits. The audit concluded that there was no fraud. She still does this, and is overseas on vacation most of the year while getting paid in this manner. It’s also apparently very prevalent as it happens at a lot of other places. My friend actually called fraud on her to the insurance company but they said they wouldn’t do anything about it, which is wild. Her biggest customer base? Employees at Amazon. But I’m told they jUsT wOrK hArDeR

This is a follow up or Part 2 to the GOES Monopoly. In our first piece, we covered Cleveland-Cliffs $CLF, but producing raw electrical steel represents only one half of the bottleneck. The true constraint lies in engineering that raw metal into a precision magnetic engine. Despite the high-profile domestic monopoly held by Cleveland-Cliffs, $JFE Holdings owns the actual physical choke point of the grid. Read more below. 👇
