🇮🇳 India has summoned Iran’s ambassador after two Indian-flagged vessels were hit in Strait of Hormuz incidents, including IRGC gunboats firing on a tanker and a separate ship struck by an unknown projectile. The escalation comes as vessels report Iran broadcasting VHF messages declaring the strait “completely closed” to all traffic of all nationalities, according to Reuters.

💢 A third Turkish-owned ship, the Ocean Thunder, safely passed through the Strait of Hormuz overnight carrying Iraqi crude oil to Malaysia, Turkish Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu announced Monday. Turkey has positioned itself as a diplomatic intermediary between Tehran and Washington, with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan speaking with Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi on Monday in their second call since Friday. Fidan also held talks with U.S. officials amid search and rescue efforts following the downing of a U.S. F-15E fighter jet over Iran.

BREAKING: Four U.S. aircraft reported either shot down or damaged over Iran today: 1 F15, 1 A10, 2x Blackhawks This, after SecWar Hegseth & Chairman of Joint Chiefs Gen. Caine continue to tell America all of Iranian air defenses have been obliterated. Self-evidently that was untrue. The Intercept has revealed in the last 24hrs that Pentagon officials have also been hiding actual U.S. military casualty numbers. Why is the White House and Pentagon so opaque with the American people on the truth of this war? The justification for launching this war of choice was also an absolute lie - the alleged "imminent threat" of a nuclear Iran, even after the same Admin claimed their ability had been "obliterated" last year. Further, they lied to us by claiming the Iranian regime was "as weak as it has been in 47 years" prior to the war, implying that all we needed was a hard push and they'd collapse. That obviously didn't happen either, and now here we are, with a rising casualty count, increasing numbers of combat losses - now into the many billions of dollars - and the allegedly weak Iranian government and military firmly in control of the Strait of Hormuz. We have no military means to force it open, and we've forfeited the option of negotiations, because we twice lied to Iran about good-faith diplomacy, only to reveal that we used it as cover to launch military ops. This is the bitter fruit of fraud and arrogance. I fear we've yet to find out how deep the cost will be before this war finally comes to an end.

“no reason”? The mullah regime is a rogue state. Iranians publicly chant “Death to America” complete with missile replicas. Pre 2026. Imagine if American schoolchildren were instructed to chant “Death to Mexico!” every morning or if Congressmen chanted “Death to Canada!” at the Capitol. Iranian schoolchildren & lawmakers have chanted “Death to America” for five decades. A normal country? Imagine if Puerto Rico (an unincorporated territory of USA analogous to Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon) fired hundreds of rockets weekly at Cuba. Now imagine a parallel scenario of Iranian proxies – Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis – firing rockets at will in the region. Iran massacred thousands of its own young protestors on the street early this year.

If there was not a demonstrable military utility in this bridge, which by all accounts is strictly a civilian structure, this is yet another war crime, this time openly celebrated by the president of the United States. He is literally building a case for his own impeachment, but this time it won’t be for political reasons, it’ll be for hard-core, genuine violations of the law, and of morality. These kinds of actions do not force Iran,m into surrender, they make sure they’re resolve is even stronger, and their hatred of America higher, which likely will result in more Americans being killed, and this war lasting longer. President Trump is on his way to ensuring that America suffer not only a strategic defeat, but quite possibly a military one as well, because of foolish decisions like this.

Let’s look at this in context: President Trump said he would destroy their navy, their missile force, and prevent them from having a nuclear weapon. To date, their missile force remains intact, safely ensconced in at least two dozen underground missile cities, it’s government remains in control, it’s navy in small speedboats is mostly still hidden away in underground tunnels, and it remains firmly in control of the strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, we have lost a number of combat aircraft, 13 dead Americans, 330 wounded, devastation on 17 of our bases, and countries around the world are struggling with oil and gas, and we’re all paying higher prices at the pump. So now President Trump just wants to walk away, with all of that blood and wreckage on the battlefield, having accomplished literally nothing of value. In fact, the only thing you can say, is that he has given Iran control of a fifth of the world‘s oil flow that it never had before, and would never have had without this absurd war of choice — and they still have 400 kilograms of reprocessed nuclear material that could be turned into a bomb at any point. And there’s nothing we can do about any of it. Congratulations.

Reporter: What’s the plan to bring gas prices down? Trump: All I have to do is leave Iran and we’ll be doing that very soon.

Very good reporting from the NYT in Cuba: “Elsewhere in the hospital, doctors and nurses dashed to ventilators that were pumping air into the lungs of sick newborns. The machines’ battery systems died years ago, so health workers have to squeeze a rubber pump to keep the babies breathing until the generators start to work. “With fuel running so short, the gas generators may be only a temporary savior. Nurses in the hospital’s neonatal unit said they already have plans for a fully powerless hospital: swaddle newborns in blankets and put them back into dead incubators, hoping they stay warm enough to survive.” nytimes.com/2026/03/26/wor…

Happy Iranian New Year. Had several parties of Iranian family to attend (the New Year weekend). My wife’s dad used to run the phone company in Tehran back in the Shah’s day. The war came up tons of times. Lots of fear, uncertainty, doubt. But everyone I talked with wants Trump to finish the job. They know that if the regime stays in power it means more terror for their kids and grandkids. They all have stories about how Iran’s leadership brutally murdered their friends and family. Silicon Valley and America’s tech community benefited greatly by smart people leaving Iran because of this brutality and immigrating to America. But the cost is immense especially in human life and if things escalate, which is probable, I weap for the cost that is to come. Freedom is not free, they say, and I weap that my sons are going to learn that in the worst way. Mostly we feel helpless. It is one of those things we can not control. In between has several discussions about AI that show people are getting more educated about AI and are getting over their fears about that.
