Digital Economy Think Tank

🇸🇰Slovakia - Country Snapshot Slovakia was the poor cousin in the peaceful breakup of Czechoslovakia in 1993, and continues to lag the Czech Republic in per-person income by about 20 percent. It's a nation of 4.5 million people encompassing an area about half the size of the US state of Indiana. 1/3

🇹🇭Thailand - Country Snapshot Thailand lies in the middle of the pack in IDCA's Digital Readiness Index with an overall score of 48 (on a 0-100 scale), amidst its Southeast Asian neighbors, and amongst the nations of the world. It should be doing better than this. The country is one of the “Big Six” nations of the 11-nation ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), a regional cooperative that encompasses more than 700 million people. Indonesia has twice the population of any of its fellow members and the region's only trillion-dollar economy as a result. Thailand vies with the four other large members (Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam) for second position with its annual GDP of between of $550-600 billion. 1/4
