I’m not here and haven’t been here for a few years. I’ve been active over on Mastodon 🐘 at @jamie" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">ruby.social/@jamie but more recently there has been a great community on BlueSky 🦋. You can find me there: bsky.app/profile/jamie.… There’s no reason to stay in this place 👋

@lichen_z Aww, I completely forgot it’s my quit-the-job-and-go-full-time anniversary! 🥹 Couldn't imagine building this company with anyone else. It would’ve stayed a side project without you. So grateful to share this fulfilling and rewarding journey with you! ❤️

3 years ago today, @BasilAKhan went full-time on our then side-project. A year after, I followed. With Basil, there's nothing that can't be done. He's relentless, incredibly creative, and deeply passionate about his work-all the while being the best human being. You are a dream to work with and I admire you endlessly.

I made a useful (+ cool?) thing in celebration of our community. usingrails.com There will likely be bugs in the data (and the app) but I'd love to hear what you think of it. And if you see errors or your company is missing feel free to submit corrections.

I'm starting a new podcast at @RailsWorld (2 words) with the help of the fine folks at @buzzsprout. I get a free ticket, but I already bought one. Do _you_ want it? Reply to this (and follow) if you do. You have until midday UK time tomorrow. Will pick at random. RTs appreciated

Hey folks, I was affected by layoffs and need to land on my feet. I've been a Rails developer since 2016 professionally. If you have any opportunities please don't hesitate to let me know. #rails #Ruby

if someone schedules a podcast recording at 06:45, are you expected to show up with a shirt on?

@jasoncharnes Split is relatively easy to learn: you just put both halves together, type normally, then move them an inch apart, and repeat. The ortholinear boards (keys in rows and columns) are a step too far for me

@ideasasylum Honestly, I need a second keyboard and know a lot of people use them so wanted to give it a try, The split ones have always intrigued me, especially for ergonomics. Im scared it would break my brain.

If I wanted to buy a mechanical keyboard, what would you recommend? I’ve been using Apple keyboards for years.

@maciejmensfeld I’m curious about your use case (or the common use cases you see). Would a rules engine suffice?

It shocks me that there's no agnostic BPMN/workflow execution layer in Rails. I wonder if there's an OSS market niche in it...
