Just realized I’ve been labeled a “parody account” on @X 🤔 This account isn’t parody nor impersonating anyone. Just made it to offer ideas to @Tesla and @elonmusk 🤷🏻‍♂️

@ScottTArcher There have always been two chipsets (at least since HW3). I would agree they should both have the same software for fallback… but they also only used to take 25 min. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@ideasforEM Most people don’t know it’s the same update twice, two memory locations for redundancy. It’s the modern version of a check sum, well kinda the same I guess.

@alex_avoigt Ex: drive 125mi away and there’s not a L2 destination charger, you’re at 250mi. Factor in destination driving, sentry mode, any unfavorable weather, packing a family, and operating ideally within a 20-80% window, it gets dicey. And I don’t think that’s the .01% of rare cases.

@alex_avoigt Wanting a larger battery is valid, and the use-case isn’t always about a trip with charging spots along the way.

The BMW iX3 and iX are examples of how little the company still understands about BEVs. A very large battery means that in 99.99% of cases, when long distances aren't being driven, an unnecessary amount of weight is being carried around, which is inefficient and expensive. Since a large battery naturally takes longer to charge, even with fast charging speeds, the supposedly advantageous feature of a long range is worthless, because you simply end up spending more time charging and if you take shorter charging stops you could have been more efficient with a smaller battery. To everyone claiming they want to drive 1,000 km without a break: studies show that people with such a strong bladder are rare. And if your family is coming along, forget it. Such cases are so rare that it makes no sense to develop a vehicle for them. Both vehicles are fundamentally flawed in their design and are only suitable for people who, as ICE owners, have been falsely instilled with fear for years that BEVs supposedly don't have enough range or that there aren't enough charging stations—both of which are lies perpetuated by the oil and gas industry.

I've been watching some recent 2026 Model Y reviews, and it blows my mind that some of these car reviewers don't even test/talk about FSD in their videos. Like, the car can drive itself pretty much anywhere, and somehow that's not worth mentioning or showing? lol

Anyone else still stuck on FSD V.14.2.2.5? Should I just switch my software update preference to standard because the advanced tab clearly doesn’t do anything.

@vad3rt3sla Would really like to see the full clip, but on first glance, I’m actually inclined to agree with understanding of hand signals. Previous clips like this have resulted in the car proceeding once the cop simply moved out of the road, so was hard to say “why” it did what it did.

FSD recognizes officers hand signals. FSD 14.2.2.5 stopped for a police officer who was assisting in a fallen branch and directing traffic. FSD waited until the officer waved me on to go, the car recognized his hand signal.

Yep, Tesla has officially added “Navigation” as a selectable disengagement reason in the just updated FSD popup in V14.3.2 (software version 2026.2.9.9). Picture from my Model Y screen:

idea for disengagement reporting instead of prompting the driver while they’re actively driving, show disengagements after the drive ends (after it shifts into Park) you could even allow them to type specific feedback / voice note if they select “Other”

I’m not understanding why Tesla is building vehicles without a steering wheel when they haven’t gotten their vehicles with steering wheels to operate unsupervised safely. Something doesn’t seem right.

The Model Y performance is only $4k more with same trim selection when compared to dual motor premium and $8k more when compared to the rear wheel drive premium. I am leaning towards the performance now.
