Happening Now 🚨: Lira City Woman MP @JaneRuth_Aceng and city tycoon Johnson Ocol have been declared winners in the ongoing @NRMOnline party elections at Ambala Primary School. Dr. Aceng was unopposed for the position of NRM Chairperson for Lira City, while Ocol also sailed through unchallenged as Vice Chairperson.
Dr. Morish Ongom equally secured the General Secretary seat without a rival. However, the race for NRM Publicity Secretary (Mainstream) saw Jacob Ocen defeat senior journalist Joseph Ekol Ekol. The elections mark a significant reshuffle in Lira City's NRM leadership, with key figures retaining or gaining positions unopposed.

If there is a country where companies and organisations don't value clients / customers ; that country is Uganda.
It's easier to get water from the dessert than getting a company that values customers. It's in Uganda where you find a head of customer service department who is as tough as a soldier fighting in Somalia.
Henceforth , regardless of their shortcoming , Umeme Ltd is the only service company you call at 2:00AM and they respond to your complaint to restore power Supply. Another company I can credit are National Water & Sewage corporation and yet both Umeme & NWSC are monopolies.
Without a doubt , Cafe Javas is number one when we talk of good customer experience in Uganda's hospitality industry. For Hotels,Mestil Hotel takes the lead and I hope you can agree with me.
In Government , Uganda prisons takes the lead without a doubt followed by special forces command (SFC)
How I wish other companies and authorities could benchmark and implement some changes.
My wonder and worry is what will happen come March 2025 when Umeme exits the Energy sector in Uganda. Let's keep watch !
Companies like Multi choice ( commonly known locally as DSTV) still have a long way to go when it comes to customer experience .
Ugandans deserve better and it takes you and me to demand that. We can start by appreciating those who invest in their best to offer services and also giving constructive feedback to those who need improvement . Its an act of Patriotism.
You can share your best and worst company or Agency in Customer Experience based on your experiences with them as we Crown 2024.
