The @npclub today opened nominations for “Newsmaker of the Year”- 2025.
I have nominated Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, KZN Police Commissioner.
I doubt there can be any other winner!!
RETWEET if you agree that he should be given the “Newsmaker of the Year” title.

Well that’s more interaction with the purple movement than you okes would have done because it’s not a priority to you but I kept you locked in and engaged to it all day 💜 💜 💜 but look how you showed up for a man who was being taken to task for a tweet. Look at that anger you displayed towards me.
Now do the same for women being raped and killed. Please be just as angry when a woman is killed every 15 minutes.
Class is dismissed

Calls for General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi to be appointed National Police Commissioner are intensifying.
KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli recently hailed and noted the Provincial police commissioner Lt-Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi’s operational excellence and vowed to recommend his contract renewal to National Commissioner Gen Fannie Masemola.
Following that news, social media users online called for General Mkhwanazi to be appointed as National Police Commissioner, they emphasized Mkhwanazi’s integrity, transparency, and courage in confronting criminal and political networks.
Supporters argued that his leadership nationally could restore confidence in SAPS and strengthen crime intelligence. EFF leader Julius Malema had also publicly voiced his backing Mkhwanazi for the position.
With Mkhwanazi’s provincial contract expiring in March 2026, the debate over retention or national promotion continues.

🇿🇦 THE MKHWANAZI EFFECT: WHEN ONE MAN SPEAKS, A NATION LISTENS!
Ever since General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi started speaking truth to power, something has shifted in South Africa — the energy, the atmosphere, even the moral compass of the nation feels renewed.
It’s like his words have echoed across every corner of Mzansi — from Parliament to the streets — waking us up from years of numbness and reminding us what real leadership looks like.
Let’s be honest, things have changed!
💸 The Rand seems stronger.
🚔 Cash-in-transit crimes are down.
⚖️ The SIU is chasing questionable assets.
💼 Politicians are no longer dozing in Parliament.
🧾 Even comrades seem to have paused their looting spree!
And the ripple effects? Unbelievable!
💍 Side chicks and slay queens are being ignored.
❤️ Partners are staying loyal.
📈 Credit scores are mysteriously improving.
Gold prices are rising.
😂 Even Skomota’s complexion has brightened — that’s divine intervention right there!
Meanwhile, the President is quiet… perhaps reflecting deeply. Because when truth is spoken with courage, even the mighty fall silent.
We salute you, Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Sibusiso Mkhwanazi — the man who reminded South Africa that justice still breathes, and that integrity can still roar louder than corruption!
A new dawn is here, and it started with one man’s voice.
