I’ve been thinking about the direction of RÈBÈLs RÄIDÊRs content YouTube, all of it. A question I keep asking myself is: Do we really need more shooting content? There’s already a ton of it, and a lot of it is solid. What we don’t have enough of is real civilian application. At least not that I’m finding. Content for the “middle ground.” I’m not saying we don’t need more people actually shooting, that’s not what I’m talking about. What happens when a regular guy who bought a Väkärián actually has to put it on? If a plumber in Milwaukee is gearing up to defend himself, things have already gone sideways. Guys like @dirty_civ are moving in the right direction but what do you guys think?

Finally got sheaths done for 1 Gator, 5 Hogs, 1 Donkey, and 4 wedges (not counting the naked one). I'll see if I can't get these sharpened and shipped out soon. Of note, several are still homeless. I'll clarify that as I can.

@MedicNamedHope The main issue is it's always coastal by nature, right? Where's the most expensive place to live, generally? Correct, the coasts. While 18/hr isn't terrible in most places, in this instance, A buccees employee is making more cleaning bathrooms.

But not desperate enough to pay them a decent wage for the work. They treat their people like toilet paper there.

Anyway, I modded my 5star cloak to attach to my kit, and be stowed out of the way by the back strap of the split rig. If you haven’t modified anything, there’s a high likelihood you haven’t used it enough 🤷

This Albuquerque business has a unique system to keep the homeless and drug addicts away from their back door. Now other businesses are interested in setting up the same system. A very interesting set up using a ring camera and a sprinkler. I think we will be seeing this become very popular in the years to come.

The city spends $80 million a year in homeless housing/programs including encouraging them work for the city for the day picking up trash for $20/hr. They refuse. They chose to live this way, they stay there because there is a place giving free food daily nearby

@MrLeadslinger I’m building out a 300 prc right now, any suggestions for budget optics for ELR? I was originally looking at the 34mm tract toric, but I’m thinking about getting something less pricey to sit on the rifle til I’m in a better spot financially.

I bought my first 6.5 CM around 2021. I like the cartridge. People argue about its terminal ballistics which I think is unfounded because 6.5mm projectiles have been around a long time and have proven effective on a variety of game animals as long as the right projectile is picked and used within its limits. It’s got a lot going for it with fairly low recoil, good velocity, good inherent accuracy, a wide range of projectiles and powders that work well in it and an OAL that matches the .308 so it works in the same size receivers. I think it’s only downside compared to .308 is barrel life.
