NZ wage growth worst in the OECD. Unemployment up. Highest rate of companies going into receivership in years. Oh, and we are higher in debt than ever. When are we going to wake up to the fact National are shit at the economy….or are we still blaming Labour and covid?

@wgtndoug @greytownbuilder The coalition crushed the construction industry from day one. Inflation was already down to 4.3 at the election. Willis killed the economy, raised unemployment resulting in less tax and disposable incomes. Worst govt of my lifetime.

What if national was not elected. Where would we be now? Inflation would have continued at 7% or more. Rents would have gone higher. Interest would have gone higher and the construction industry crushed. Public servants would have increased needing more and more tax. Taxes would have had to increase causing a mass exodus or at least a flight of capital. 3 waters would have been a huge cost to all. The ferries would have come in massively over budget Debt would have risen 100% of gdp. Suddenly 3rd world. And that is just a start of our problems.

NZ First policy to restrict voting to citizens only is designed to primarily target Chinese, Indian and other Asian voters who are NZ permanent residents. China, India and some other Asian countries do not recognize dual citizenships, which is why many do not get NZ citizenships.
