At @INL, Oklo has moved from site mobilization into deep foundation excavation for our first commercial Aurora powerhouse. What makes this moment significant is not just the physical progress at the site, but the coordinated progress taking shape across the entire project. Construction, fuel, and licensing are all advancing at a pace that once seemed inconceivable. Oklo is demonstrating what is possible when the critical pieces move forward in parallel.

I called my dad today. He’s 72 and has spent his whole life taking engines apart. Cars aren’t just a hobby for him - they’re his passion. My car was in the shop with a couple issues that needed fixing. Normally I’d call him immediately. Instead, I caught myself opening ChatGPT first - asking if I was getting ripped off, what questions to ask, all of it. I stopped. Closed the app. Called Dad. We talked for over an hour. AI is an incredible tool. But never let it replace the people who actually love you. Call your family. ❤️

IonQ CFO/COO Singh today at the Needham Tech Conference: We have now finished the prototyping of the 256 chip. This was an important milestone for us. Now that we’ve achieved that, we know we can use electronic controls on a semiconductor die in a mature foundry called SkyWater, and we can now build the system around it. So we’re building the system that surrounds the chip and will be prepared to deliver that to customers starting next year. And importantly, we’ve already started to turn our attention to the 10K system. So not only are we building the 256 system, we’re now figuring out how to do the 10K - probably earlier than we thought, even three or four months ago. The 10K and beyond obviously becomes a question of simply scaling, but the main engineering milestones we achieved with the 256 - demonstrating that you can actually do ion traps on a semiconductor die - and then the scaling part of it, is an existing process that SkyWater, our foundry partner, has, with plenty of knowledge and advanced packaging that they will help us with.

$IONQ Last Friday, SkyWater shareholders voted to approve selling to IonQ. IonQ announced it was buying SkyWater back in January. SkyWater is a chip factory in Bloomington, Minnesota. They are the largest American-owned chip factory in the United States. The factory has been making chips for decades. Over the last few years, they have been adapting it to also make quantum chips. It is the only chip factory in the United States that is cleared by the Department of War to make products the government uses for classified work. This clearance takes years to earn. Most chip factories don't have it. This deal gives IonQ three things. They control how fast they can build new quantum computers. They control what those computers cost to make. And they can sell directly to the U.S. government for classified work. The deal needed two things to close. SkyWater shareholders had to vote yes. They did that on Friday. The U.S. government also has to approve the deal, which is what regulators do for big mergers to check for competition concerns. That review is what's left. The deal is expected to close this summer or fall. When it does, IonQ becomes the only U.S. quantum company with an American chip factory. And the factory it owns is the only one in the country cleared to make products the government uses for classified work.

Oklo $OKLO initiated with a Neutral at JPMorgan JPMorgan analyst Jeremy Tonet initiated coverage of Oklo with a Neutral rating and $83 price target. The firm says small modular reactors could capitalize on clean, baseload power needs amid a "paradigm shift" in electricity demand from data center proliferation, manufacturing onshoring, and rising electrification. However, JPMorgan wants to see further successful commercialization execution before gaining more comfort in the shares.

$OKLO announced a Strategic Partnership Project (SPP) with Battelle Energy Alliance (BEA), the management and operating contractor for Idaho National Laboratory (INL), to use AI technologies to accelerate advanced reactor and fuel-system design work. “This work brings together advanced reactor design, AI-enabled engineering tools, and INL’s deep technical expertise,” said Jacob DeWitte, co-founder and CEO of Oklo. “Applying AI to reactor design workflows can accelerate development, improve engineering efficiency, and support progress on advanced systems, including on Oklo’s Pluto reactor.”
