@thsottiaux would be great if Codex could work across multiple repos at the same time. At the moment I open parent folder that has multiple repos but the git tools are not available then because the parent folder itself is not a git repo. Is there a better way?

@theo Do you reckon industry wide per token pricing will go down once platforms cleanup billing models and close loopholes like this?

I sent a single message on Copilot and it did over 60m tokens. It's still going. $30 of inference so far. In their current billing model, you get 1,500 messages, regardless of how expensive each is. I'm pretty sure I can do $45,000 of messaging on this plan

@thsottiaux codex needs persistent terminal per project like in Cursor. Archiving a thread is not supposed to lose my terminal session.

Codex really needs text search across project files and built in editor like @cursor_ai glass.

@raging545 @PhilipIngMBE This isn’t a list of proposals it’s an actual mandate that will come into force on 26th May 2026. The last point is the spiciest, wipe out everyone’s savings and turn them into “credit notes”. Yeah let’s go full Weimar Republic what could go wrong 🫠🤣

Leaked documents online shows Russia`s Central Bank Governor, Elvira Nabiullina, proposing drastic measures to take control of Russia`s disastrous finances. These include suspending savings interest rates, stopping electronic transfers & foreign payments & initiating mobilisation

It was not as altruistic as it may sound here. Wars are primarily fought for political and economic reasons. The Civil War was caused by slavery, yes, but the North did not go to war in 1861 mainly to “free the slaves.” The Union’s primary goal at the start was preserving the Union. The South seceded to protect slavery. The North fought first to stop secession and preserve federal power, and only later did emancipation become a central war aim, both morally and strategically. Nonetheless, the end result was the abolishment of slavery in the US.

Want some truth? There are ~195 sovereign countries in the World and all 195 have had slavery. But… Out of those 195 countries the United States is the only one that fought a full scale Civil War to end it.

Switching to @cursor_ai Composer 2 while Codex is cooling down. Not a bad model but boy is it eager to fix things that don't need fixing when I simply ask a question.

Lived in: Portugal (2 years) Brazil (6 years) Hong Kong (25 years) UK (5 years total Isle of Man (two years) Dubai (two years) I've visited 32 countries in 6 continents (only Antarctica is missing). Hong Kong was by far and away the best place I've ever lived until I moved to Dubai. Hong Kong is still incredible, and it would be where I would go if I had to leave Dubai. But I don't want to leave Dubai and I'm not going to leave Dubai. Dubai is the best place for me and my family to live in this period of our lives and for at least the next 5 to 10 years. Hong Kong will always have a special place in my heart, but Dubai is where my family and I call home.
Jacob@jforjacob

Honest question for the Dubai lovers: How may other countries apart from the UAE and your home country have you spent more than 1 month living in? Just seems impossible to me than anyone who is well travelled would think it’s the best place to live

@elefarsee I loved the energy of the @cursor_ai meetup in Bangkok. Will definitely join more events that you organize in the future. Is X and Luma the best place to be notified for upcoming events?

@nickwm today in Bangkok you mentioned that 99% of @cursor_ai code is now generated and that internally everyone uses plan mode extensively to often one-shot features. You also mentioned that AI is seriously non-deterministic. So a follow up question is - how much time do you guys spend on refactoring the generated code into a shape that you are happy with and how rigorous is the human code review? I am wondering if you are already shifting into a mindset where traditional coding values become less important as long as the final product is working correctly and AI can continue working on it without any noticeable degradation. Thanks for coming to Bangkok! cc: @leerob

@OpenAIDevs @sama Codex plan mode should show a diff when iterating on it - right now we are forced to reread the whole thing again even after trivial changes. Also the UI for "No, and tell Codex what to do differently" is not great - it should use a similar composer as in normal mode.

@elonmusk @nikitabier why are videos on X always buffering? This isn't new or a rare occurrence, it has been like this for as long as I can remember and happens all the time. I'm based in Thailand.

@luc_moetwil I just wanted a simple error message but it gave me a whole error app. I think it went kinda nuts, but also opened up possibilities I haven't even considered. I still went with a simple error message in the end though.

@ifeltsweet this is kinda crazy but also makes sense ui/ux is becoming promptable now, not just code feels like the gap is shifting from “can you design it” to “can you define what good looks like” curious what felt off about it to you or did it actually hold up pretty well

Hold my beer, impeccable.style frontend-design skill for a prompt to show a payment error message (GPT 5.4 high). I'm not sure what to think of this.
