@183South Thanks. I was a bit confused because it was called "Walnut Creek" and south of MLK made me think there was another crossing that I didn't know about. Definitely know where this with with the Boggy Creek reference.

@ifoam Hi Jose - the Southern Walnut Creek Trail crosses under US 183 along Boggy Creek. Earlier this year, and later this year, we will be doing overhead work which will cause the trail to close temporarily. The trail is used by many for their commute. austintexas.gov/department/sou…

ATTN Walnut Creek Trail Users: The trail where it crosses under US 183 south of FM 969/MLK Blvd. is OPEN this week. Intermittent closures are expected later this year. The most current information can be found on the project website: 183south.com

@ifoam The southbound Airport to southbound 183 connection will remain, but Bolm is another option to access both northbound or southbound on 183. However, the detour will not cross the southbound Airport to southbound 183 connection you refer to.

@183South Just to be clear, does that mean that Airport to 183 South won't be connected anymore (pending construction)? That eases my worries about detoured traffic being unable to cross the traffic from Airport to SB 183.

@ifoam To connect to US 183 from southbound Airport Blvd, we recommend turning onto Bolm Rd then turning onto southbound 183. From there you can enter southbound 183 or use Levander Loop to make a U-turn to access northbound 183.

@183South Yes, I think that's obvious but how long will be the light be active? Until 2020?

@ifoam The light at Techni Center will be removed permanently later on in the project which is anticipated to be complete in 2020.

@183South How long will the TechniCenter light be on for? You took three steps back on that decision. It's evident with the traffic that was created on 183 North due to this light.

@183South This is the equivalent of making people who live off 12th and I-35 drive up to 38th street to turn around to go back South. Beyond ridiculous when there is no reason to do this right now.

Signal timing & other adjustments implemented over the weekend at FM 969/US 183 have led to some improvements in traffic flow. However, in response to community feedback, the Hudson turnaround will remain open until new MLK bypass lanes are complete. #atxtraffic

@183South You guys were doing so good. You have created a nightmare. Please fix this immediately. You have or will close three major crossovers on 183 in the last two weeks. Timing the lights isn't going to fix this.

Traffic alert: US 183 mainlane traffic has shifted to the new general purpose lanes thru 51st St. & MLK. The 51st St. signal & crossing has been removed and all drivers are passing through the MLK signal. Allow extra travel time as drivers adjust to new configuration. #atxtraffic

@KVUE pretty bad wreck on north bound 360 between 71 and MoPac. SUV on side, looked like a body on the shoulder in the road.
