@sufferingspurs It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that the less time the ball is in play, the less time opponents will have to score. If yellow cards for time wasting didn’t exist, I’d make Vicario sit down in protest at every goal kick & then the ball wouldn’t enter the field 😊

Another lovely statistic provided by the Athletic today. Spurs are 19th in the league for the amount of time the ball spends in play during the game. That slow, arduous, time wasting that’s driven from the top isn’t a figment of your imagination, it’s borne out in statistics too
