Danny Rohl has created a firestorm of a situation that didn’t need to be created in the first place. Very concerning for him when current players in the squad are reposting James Tavernier’s statement. It was a horrendous decision that’s turned a lot of supporters, and potentially the players against him.

Danny Rohl handled the whole James Tavernier situation terribly. If he’s fit enough to be on the bench, he’s fit enough to start - simple as that. See if Rangers were still in the title race, then yeah I’d understand it and so would Tav - but it was a dead rubber. He could’ve started Tav then brought him off after 60 minutes - the skipper wasn’t exactly asking for much. Tavernier has been an incredible player and servant for the club and Rohl scored a huge own goal with how he handled the entire situation. A complete and utter PR disaster.

Rohl rolling himself out of Rangers. Not giving Tavernier a goodbye opportunity is bad taste, especially as he’s the captain, best right back in British football have had in a very long time. With a goal and assist number 99% of defenders will never reach. Disgusting.

Rangers spent over £40M this season just to finish third. Stuff like that can very quickly become a financial disaster, as they know only too well. The mad thing is Danny Röhl has now admitted they need another huge rebuild this summer because they “need new leaders.” If they keep ploughing that level of cash into monumental failure year after year, I genuinely feel jelly & ice cream could soon be back on the menu. 🍨

@LetsTalkGers On top of that the fans have started to turn on DR and the players have chucked it. We drop more points lose the next 2 games and it will be a melt down. Even if we win the next 2 there are still huge questions to answer. In my opinion he can’t cut it.

It’s hard to imagine Rangers starting next season with a manager who doesn’t have buy-in from the support. No manager fixes these problems in one summer, but Rangers need someone the fans can still believe in when things get tough. We’ve not had that for a long time.
