@iGumdrop @Avis Wait… why does it matter when you signed up for it anyway? Even if it was the case, if you signed up for a rental, then it should be available

i never rant but i’m traveling with my whole family rn, went to @Avis at lax to get a rental i bought weeks ago, the counter guy accused me of lying and said i signed up for it on the line, both workers refused to help me, told me to be honest or get out, i was trying to figure out what to do and he ended up being like “nvm ill help you because you look stressed out” and then gave us the car i had to beg and promise i wasn’t lying, my reservation literally says i booked it weeks ago 😭😭 im probably just being sensitive but when you’re taking care of your older parents after a long flight it really sucks to experience something like this 😭😭

@iGumdrop @Avis I boycotted the hell out of Avis after a few years ago we had the craziest and most unprofessional interactions. Unlucky :(

@r2d2arm @Avis They said they don’t do compensation or refunds on poor service. They msged me saying they’ll report it but i know that’s prob BS and they’re saying that because i escalated it on social media what about people who experience this and dont have a platform??? It’s wrong 😡

@iGumdrop @Avis @Avis is trash and they always treat their customers like that. I don’t know why but it’s like a requirement at all airports that Avis employees are like this. That’s why I go @NationalPro always. Hope in a car and drive off. Sorry you had to deal with that.

yep he wouldn’t even look at it. He refused and said be honest or get out. He even made something up and said “I pullled up your reservation and it says you JUST signed up for preferred” which makes no sense bc I legit have the confirmation email from weeks ago that he refused to look at

I think he thought I tried to cheat the system because it was an Avis Preferred only line and I left in the middle of the line to answer a phone call (no service inside) BUT my dad stayed on the line. And he assumed I was signing up for Avis Preferred when I left the line. But it was 100% baseless and he made an assumption bc I had a reservation already It was definitely a personal attack, I feel like he thought he was being a smartass and “catching me” when I didn’t do anything wrong

@iGumdrop @Avis How does it matter whether you booked it "on the line" or weeks ago? A reservation/booking is a reservation/booking no matter what.
