PRESS RELEASE
OGUN POLICE RESCUE FIVE (5) ABDUCTED GATEWAY POLYTECHNIC STUDENTS IN INTELLIGENCE-LED RESCUE OPERATION
Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have successfully rescued five (5) students of Gateway Polytechnic, Sapade, who were abducted by armed criminals in the Sapade area of Ogun State.
The incident occurred on 27th April 2026 at about 2255hrs, when Ipara division received a distress report of a suspected kidnapping. Acting promptly, a patrol team was deployed to the scene where an ash-coloured Toyota vehicle was discovered abandoned. The vehicle was observed with visible bullet impacts and blood stains, while mobile phones and other personal belongings were recovered from within.
Further examination of the scene revealed an identity card belonging to a student of Gateway Polytechnic, Sapade, confirming that the occupants of the vehicle were students. This development necessitated the immediate escalation of the incident and activation of a full-scale rescue operation.
In line with standard operational procedures, the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, FCSS, MNIPR, promptly ordered the deployment of tactical units and directed an intelligence-led rescue operation to safely locate and rescue the victims.
Acting on this directive, operatives of Isara Area Command, Ipara Division, SWAT, Anti-Kidnapping Unit, Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU), Quick Response Squad (QRS), and OP MESA were swiftly mobilised and conducted coordinated bush combing and tracking operations along suspected escape routes.
The sustained operational pressure led to the successful rescue of the five (5) victims from the custody of the abductors on 28th April 2026. The victims were immediately evacuated, debriefed, and taken for medical attention due to conditions sustained while in captivity.
During the rescue operation, the kidnappers engaged operatives in a gun duel but were overwhelmed by superior firepower and tactical response, forcing them to flee with suspected gunshot wounds. No casualty was recorded among security operatives.
The Commissioner of Police commends the gallantry, professionalism, and swift coordination of all tactical units involved, noting that the intelligence-driven response was decisive to the success of the operation. He further assures that bush combing operations remain ongoing to track, apprehend and bring the fleeing suspects to justice.
Members of the public are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movements to the nearest police formation or through the Command’s emergency lines: Gateway Shield (Toll-Free): 0800 000 9111; 0906 283 7609; 0912 014 1706; 0915 102 7369; and 0708 497 2994.

If you’ve ever had a Bigi or Fearless, then you’ve already seen what disruption looks like.
Rite Foods didn’t follow trends, they created their own lane. From product innovation to culture-driven campaigns, the brand has stayed consistent over the years.
So, seeing their MD, Seleem Adegunwa, recognised as Industrialist of the Year by Vanguard Newspapers makes complete sense.
Innovation + consistency will always stand out.

@SoftKanBai @Wizarab10 Learn
Gala is a product
Bigi is a product
Their common name is called sausage... next time you say Bigi sausage...

How much were you paid for this ad? This is pure whitewashing. Rite foods doesn’t follow trends? 🤣🤣🤣 lie of the century.
They don’t follow trend but they don’t have anything that’s particular to them, nothing.
Everything they are doing is a copy of other products. From the stupid soda drinks to sausages to energy drink and even bottled water.
If I send you Coke and you went ahead to buy Bigi cola coz they don’t have Coke if I no off you call me bastard. Or I sent you Gala and you go buy Bigi gala 🤣.

a society that says a broke man doesn’t deserve a woman shouldn’t be upset when a rich man has options.

Interesting because the first time I met him (Paul Onwuanibe), it was just like this. July last year. Struck up a conversation/banter with one man & his friend at Landmark rooftop that fateful night, turns out the man was Onwuanibe’s business partner.
Mans just said “You’re a public speaker just like Paul, he’ll even be here any moment now”. I asked if the man could do introductions and he said absolutely. I went back to the space where my friend who’d only just flown in from the US was having his intimate birthday dinner, was there with Kunle Remi, Daniel Etim Effiong & a few good men.
When I heard Paul Onwuanibe’s voice at the other tent, I went back there straight to redeem the introduction I was owed 😂. What followed was about 40 minutes of banter where we discussed everything from real estate to hospitality to TED Talks.
I remember he told me he’d done 3 TED talks and I’d only done 2 at the time, he said when I did my third we could then be contemporaries 🤣🤣.
Man if you’re not relational, you’ll find life extremely difficult. Small talks are very important.

This is why I keep stressing that learning "small talk" is important. I got married that way.

LAUTECH OGBOMOSHO: Yesterday We Celebrated Him; Today We Mourn Him 💔
What a terrible life we’ve found ourselves in what a tragic loss. 💔 Just yesterday, we all gathered to celebrate Tomisin, a young man full of life, hope, and dreams. His convocation was filled with joy, laughter, and family friend . Less than 24 hours later… he is gone. 😔
He was a brilliant footballer who was working hard to kickstart his football career with Saint FC (Ogbomoso), preparing for a scouting program, chasing his dreams… and then death came suddenly this Black Thursday morning. 🖤
Tomisin slumped… and just like that, everything changed. — painful and unpredictable. 🥺
Our hearts are with his family, friends, Saint FC, and the entire football community. All Football Matches in Ogbomoso are postponed in his honor. 💙
May God Almighty grant his family the strength to bear this unbearable loss. 🙏
This week, someone dropped a prayer point here: "Ogo de, Emi pin will not be our portion."
Scrolling FB this evening and i saw the news of this guy that convocate yesterday and today he's no more 🥹💔.
