I lost a good girl because I wanted what she would not give. We met in fellowship during my 300L. She was kind, soft-spoken, real. She told me early, “I am saving myself for marriage. No pressure.” I said I respected it. At first I meant it. Months passed. My friends laughed, said I was wasting time. I started testing her. Late-night visits, tight hugs, small guilt trips. She would pull away and remind me, “You promised to wait with me.”
One night I got angry. Told her she was using God to hide fear.
I said if she loved me she would prove it like other girls do. She cried. Did not argue. Just picked her Bible and left my room. She blocked me that night. No long talk, no second chance.

In case you don’t know, Nigeria has some sort of credit score system. If you don’t believe me, meet your bank account officer, they will print out the document containing all loans you’ve taken and details of the repayments.
