Two weeks ago, I mentioned two private 1/1 sales, one of them with the Lian Foundation. Today, I’m excited to introduce a new collector who recently acquired one of my personal favorites, I Love Korea (2023): @tony_pieces This piece was never meant to be minted. It was created specifically for my solo show in Korea, and I told myself I’d only mint it if it found a truly special home, something like the Korean National Museum (dream big, right?). Then I met Tony. I first met him at Art Basel, but he actually discovered my work through @CozomoMedici (thank you, signore), who mentioned me at a museum fundraising event. Later, Tony invited me to his home in Korea, where I saw his incredible collection of fine art grails displayed throughout his house. It was my first time seeing a collector so passionately curating and showcasing physical art, it really hit different. It felt right. I knew I Love Korea belonged with him. He showed genuine love for my work, and I could tell he would champion this piece and bring nothing but positivity to its future. The price is undisclosed, but it’s in the similar range as my last 1/1, a respectful number. I encouraged him to be more active in the space, especially as he’s becoming increasingly interested in digital art. For now, he prefers to stay anonymous and build his persona simply as “Tony.” He does have a background in blockchain, so I believe he’ll adapt to this space faster than most. I’m beyond excited to welcome such a respectful traditional art collector into our space. And of course, knowing this piece found someone who will truly treasure it means everything.

Why can't we just have it all?

The Struggle The past few months have been pretty challenging. I went through a dramatic change in my life that left me completely drained—no energy, no desire to create, no motivation, nothing. I’m not even sure why I’m writing this, but I feel like this is the first step toward getting better. I am an artist with so many emotions to express, vulnerability is a big part of who I am. But I’ve hidden that side of myself, choosing instead to showcase only the positive aspects of my life through my work. And recently, I realized I don’t want to keep hiding the negative parts of myself anymore. I want to express all of me—the full spectrum of emotions that define who I am. I’ll admit, I’m a bit of an attention seeker, and I find happiness when people love my art. But more than that, I hope people can see and appreciate the artist behind the work—a person with complicated emotions, sometimes full of joy, and sometimes lost in darkness. I am doing fine as of right now. I’m slowly finding my way through it all, and I’m at a place where I can look at the sky and think, “Wow, it’s pretty.” I’ve needed some time alone, and I’ve been isolating myself from everyone. To those who’ve reached out, I’m sorry for not responding. With 2025 just around the corner, I want to focus on building a better version of myself. While I work on that, I want to share all of me—all the emotions, all the pieces. Thank you for sticking with me. I hope you’ll find both me and my journey worth your attention.

@dadbodkooks @deekaymotion I already helped guide Deekay with rescuing the remaining assets and transferring contract ownership for his projects. Luckily the attacker left a few assets like a crypto punk and other various NFTs.

I just became a victim of cybercrime. All of my wallets were compromised, and my life savings, everything I earned as an artist in Web3 are gone. This happened during a 14-hour flight from Korea to New York, coincidentally in mid-flight when I had no internet access. I have no idea how it happened, but my best guess is a seed phrase leak. I had a photo of my handwritten seed phrase (not digital) synced to Google Drive, hidden in a random folder, but there’s no sign of any suspicious login activity. It could also have been a leak from the physical paper, but I’m not sure. Public WiFi? Maybe. Malware? I’m pretty sure I didn’t download anything, at least not knowingly. I haven’t had any interactions with suspicious individuals lately either. The strange part is that only my funds were taken while all of my NFTs remained untouched. I’ve already started moving my valuable NFTs to a new, secure wallet. I’m left with nothing now, and this is probably the biggest challenge of my life. My biggest concern is that all my family members rely on me financially, so I need to bounce back as quickly as possible to continue supporting them. Right now, my mind is exhausted and I need to get some sleep first.
