Chelsea letting Renato Veiga go is one of those decisions that already looks worse with every passing game. You could see it early, this wasn’t just another young player finding his feet. Veiga had composure, awareness, and a level of maturity on the ball that most defenders his age simply don’t have. He loved being at Chelsea, in his first interview, he spoke about how proud he was to wear the shirt, and how much he loved the club. But under Enzo Maresca, his time at Chelsea became miserable, as he found himself on the bench for no clear reason. What makes it more frustrating is how obvious the fit was. Veiga wasn’t just “decent”, he looked like a perfect system defender for Maresca’s style. Comfortable in possession, positionally disciplined, and confident under pressure, exactly what we needed at the back. Yet instead of developing him, the club let him slip away. And now look at us. Defensive instability, lack of control at the back, unnecessary errors, the exact issues Veiga could’ve helped steady. If he was still here, there’s a strong argument we wouldn’t be dealing with this level of defensive uncertainty. Sometimes mistakes in football aren’t about who you sign… they’re about who you let go.

@UNOFFICIALFACT I think Obi and Kwankwaso should move to LP now that the coast is clear. Nigerians are already used to LP and Obi. On another thought though, Obi should have just formed his party since he had a presidential ambition. If he joins NDC, they'll still come for him.
