"The condition of our nation and the urgent need to rescue Nigeria, informed my decision to leave ADC for NDC." Yesterday, I formally joined the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), alongside my dear brother, Engr. Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, with one clear purpose: to continue the struggle for a new Nigeria built on justice, competence, accountability, and compassion for the ordinary Nigerian. As I stated yesterday, this decision was not made out of anger, personal ambition, or convenience. It came after deep reflection on the present condition of our nation and the urgent need to rescue Nigeria from the dangerous path it is currently heading. Over the years, I have remained steadfast in my conviction that politics should never be about individuals, positions, or personal gain. It must be about the people, especially the millions of Nigerians who today can no longer afford necessities, whose businesses are collapsing, whose children are losing hope, and whose future is becoming increasingly uncertain. I left the ADC for the same reason I left the Labour Party: the severe, orchestrated litigation and internal crises deliberately designed to ensure that I, alongside many other notable individuals, do not effectively participate in the electoral process. I sincerely appreciate and remain deeply grateful to the Leadership of ADC for the opportunity to work together in pursuit of a better Nigeria. I am particularly grateful to ADC Chairman Senator David Mark for his exceptional Leadership. I also deeply appreciate my Leader and elder brother YE, Atiku Abubakar, as well as other respected leaders within the party. As we join the NDC, I sincerely appeal to the Nigerian Government against the encouragement of unresolved litigations and the infusion of crises within political parties. Democracy must never become a weapon against the people. A healthy democracy thrives on strong institutions, credible alternatives, and the freedom of citizens to make choices without intimidation, manipulation, or fear. Opposition parties must not be weakened or destroyed, because when democracy loses balance, the people ultimately suffer. Nigeria today is passing through one of the most difficult periods in its history. Poverty is rising. Hunger is widespread. Insecurity continues to threaten lives and livelihoods. Businesses are shutting down daily. Our young people are becoming discouraged, and many citizens have lost faith in the system. At a time like this, leadership must be driven not by propaganda or division, but by competence, capacity, character, and compassion. Our decision to join the NDC is therefore not an abandonment of values, but a continuation of the same mission we have always stood for: building a Nigeria where leadership is about service, where public resources are managed responsibly, where institutions function independently, and where every Nigerian, regardless of tribe, religion, region, or social status, can live with dignity, security, and hope. I remain committed to working with all Nigerians of goodwill across political, ethnic, and religious lines. The task before us is bigger than any individual or political party. It is about the future of our children and the survival of our dear nation. I thank Nigerians, especially our youths and women, for remaining peaceful, resilient, and hopeful despite the enormous challenges confronting the country. I urge you not to lose faith in Nigeria. Nations do not change because people surrender to hopelessness; they change because people continue to believe, continue to sacrifice, and continue to stand for what is right. A new Nigeria is still POssible. -PO

@Lonnewulff @PeterObi Some of you don't understand politics at all. You think politics is "gragra." Politics is about strategy! It's not about fighting a battle you clearly know you can't win. It's about who'll outsmart his/her opponent with strategy.

My leader @PeterObi, unfortunately this is where we part ways. My support for you was largely based on the efforts that I have seen from you in fighting for democratic, free, and fair elections. However, your pattern of resigning from political parties solely because of external pressure (PDP, LP, and now ADC) is uncharacteristic of a leader with the ability to fight for what is right. You cower in the face of pressure and you run for soft landing else where. This is not the type of leadership Nigeria needs given its dire situation, and certainly not the type of politics that we need going into 2027. My hate for Tinubu is bigger than my love for a better Nigeria at the moment. So I will align with whom I believe can end Tinubu. Best wishes.

BREAKING; Peter Obi Resigned from ADC Peter announced his departure from ADC. He said, “Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. “However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building.”

@UNOFFICIALFACT I think Obi and Kwankwaso should move to LP now that the coast is clear. Nigerians are already used to LP and Obi. On another thought though, Obi should have just formed his party since he had a presidential ambition. If he joins NDC, they'll still come for him.

Alex Otti says that he wants to remove Abia State from the National Grid completely, "even though it's a PRIVATE enterprise" and many Nigerians are busy cheering him and his idea like this is something truly positive. Are we really a serious people at all? Imagine the entire electricity of a state being owned and controlled by private enterprise(s), doesn't this leave the people at the mercy of the firm? Or you forget that electricity is a basic amenity that should be provided by the govt if we have serious leaders? Has privatizing anything ever benefitted the masses in this country? Take the only working refinery for example, today we are at the mercy of Dangote, he can increase and reduce prices at any time, and we have no choice because we are dependent on that one refinery that is privately owned. If Abia goes fully private, consumers will most definitely pay more, because there's a 99% chance the govt won't step in to regulate in the long run, and of course, it's private so the goal is to make profit whichever way neccesary. Abia State govt gets allocations, but wants to privatize electricity. The problem with many Nigerians is that once someone is put on a pedestal, logical thinking automatically goes off the window.

Go to any community (especially in the South-South region of Nigeria) that has not had light for the past 10 years due to bad or no transformer. Tell them you want to use your money to buy a transformer for them and pay the power company to install the transformer for them so that they will have light. Tell them that when they have light, it will lead to more development and more people will be able to start small businesses which will help the economy of the community. You would expect that such an offer should immediately make you a celebrity in that commumity, right? They should immediately start worshippimg you for coming to save them from 10 years of darkness, right? Wrong. Do you know what will happen? The youths of that commumity will ask you to settle them first before you can bring that transformer for them to have light. And if you cannot settle them, then forget about your transformer. That is the Nigeria we live in today especially the South-South Region. ~Mute Efe

A 13-year-old girl becomes pregnant. She talks about it with her 15-year-old boyfriend, and together they decide on an abortion. When she is lying on the table, the girl stands up and decides to keep the baby. The 15-year-old boy leaves her alone. She goes ahead and has the baby after speaking with her supportive parents. The baby is born, and she names him Fernando. When the time was right, his mother told him the story. Fernando understood and said to her: “Mom, you could have killed me or given me life, and you chose to give me life. I will never forget that.” That child is Fernando Cavenaghi—an example both as a football player and as a person, as he has a foundation that helps children and feels deep love and respect for his mother.

Yobe State is trending because ISWAP terrorists attacked another military camp in Goniri, but this time the Nigerian Army were prepared and eliminated over 20-40 of them. They tried to surround the military base from two villages, fortunately they were detected. Troops of 120 Task Force Battalion instantly cordinated and with superior tactics, weapons, precision and air support from Op Hadin Kai, they successfully repelled the attack; Eliminating a minimum of 20 tangos, recovering weapons such as machine guns, bombs, Ak-47 and assorted ammunitions; while the wounded terrorists retreated. They’ve commenced a sweep in nearby villages for the injured terrorists. While still discovering bodies of the terrorists. PRESS RELEASE The Rivers State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that a statewide clampdown on vehicles operating without valid registration number plates, or with covered or obscured number plates, will commence on Monday, 16th March 2026. Similarly, any vehicle found using revolving or flash lights without an official letter of approval from the appropriate authority will be impounded. This enforcement exercise is aimed at enhancing public safety, strengthening crime prevention efforts, and ensuring strict compliance with traffic regulations across the state. Vehicles without proper identification, as well as those illegally using revolving lights, pose serious security risks and are often linked to criminal activities. The Command also warns against the use of tinted glasses, on commercial vehicles, as such vehicles are frequently exploited by “one chance” kidnapping syndicates to perpetrate criminal acts. Members of the public are therefore advised to be vigilant and cautious when boarding vehicles with heavily tinted windows. All motorists are advised to ensure that their vehicles are properly registered and display clear and visible number plates at all times. Unauthorized use of revolving or flash lights by private individuals is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. Defaulters will have their vehicles impounded and may be prosecuted in accordance with the law. The Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, psc, mnips, assures residents that the enforcement exercise will be carried out professionally, fairly, and without bias. He further calls on all residents of the state to cooperate with officers of the Rivers State Police Command in the interest of public safety and security. Advice to the Public Members of the public are advised to: •Ensure their vehicles have valid and clearly visible number plates. •Remove any unauthorized revolving or flashing lights from their vehicles immediately. •Avoid the use of tinted glasses, especially on commercial vehicles. •Carry all relevant vehicle documents while driving. •Be vigilant and cautious when boarding commercial vehicles with tinted windows. •Report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or through the Command’s emergency lines. "OGA, OIL NA OIL" The last time I went to get engine oil to service my car, I met a man who came with a 2010 Toyota Corolla. I noticed he got a different oil from what is recommended for his car. I tried to educate him but he said, "Oga, oil na oil." I didn't give up. I ensured I educated him and he was receptive and very thankful. Told me no wonder his engines kept failing after about 2-3 years. He had been driving for over 20 years but never knew what I'm about to teach you in less than 3 minutes. I noticed that most car owners in Nigeria have a toxic relationship with their engines. They drive to a roadside mechanic, hand over some cash, and let the man buy "any oil" that comes in a bottle. Or worse, they buy the cheapest one because "oil is oil." That is the fastest way to turn a 2022 engine into a 1998 scrap metal. Let’s talk about those numbers on the bottle, like 5W-20, and why they actually matter for your engine. Engine oil is like honey. When it’s cold, it’s thick. When it’s hot, it becomes runny like water. The numbers tell you how much the oil resists this change. The 5W stands for winter. Even though we don't have snow, your engine is cold every morning before you start it. The lower this number, the faster the oil flows when you first turn on the car. A 0W or 5W flows instantly. A 20W is like cold ogbono soup. It stays at the bottom of the engine while your metal parts are rubbing against each other dry for the first few seconds. That is where 90% of engine wear happens. The 20 is the heat rating. It tells you how thick the oil stays when the engine is screaming at 100°C. If your car asks for 20 and you put 50, the oil is too thick. It’s like trying to drink a thick milkshake or kunu aya through a tiny straw. Your engine has to work 10x harder just to move the oil around. It loses power, and your fuel finishes faster. So, how do you know the right oil for your car? You don't need a mechanic’s opinion for this. The answer is literally written in two places: 1. The Oil Cap: Open your hood. Look at the plastic cap where the oil goes in. Manufacturers often print it right there (e.g SAE 5W-20). 2. The Manual: That book in your glove box isn't for decoration. It has a chart that tells you exactly what grade your engine was designed to take. Although most car owners don't even have this again. Many old-school mechanics believe that thick oil (like 20W-50) is better for Nigerian heat or older engines. This is a lie. Modern engines have tiny, microscopic gaps between parts. If you put thick oil in a modern engine, it cannot fit into those gaps. You are basically starving your engine of blood while the mechanic tells you "The engine sounds heavy and strong." Don't fall for that. Stop surrendering your car's life to a man who hasn't read a manual since 1994. Buy your own oil. Read the label. Your engine is a high-precision machine. Treat it like a heart, not a waste bin. INALEGWU.

No, not entirely. Israel did strike Iranian oil depots near Tehran last night (confirmed by IDF, NYT, AP, Al Jazeera). Iran claims US hit a desalination plant on Qeshm Island (water infrastructure); Iran also hit one in Bahrain. FARS News (IRGC-linked) reported today an increase in drone ops (up 20%) and missiles (doubled) starting tonight to counter strikes. The quote “You started it, but we will finish it” matches a US official (Hegseth), not Iran. Escalation is real in this 9-day conflict, but the post mixes facts with spin.

A married woman is in my DM. She just found out that her husband got her married best friend pregnant, and she aborted it. Her best friend was her chief brides maid. She hasn't confronted her best friend yet. Her husband is pleading with her to forgive him. She wants to expose her best friend to her husband and possibly destroy her marriage. And she can no longer maintain the friendship. If she doesn't keep up with the friendship, her best friend would suspect something is wrong. The husband is asking her to pretend not to know, but she is finding that option difficult to take. She doesn't want to leave her marriage, either. And now she's asking me for advice. To be honest, I am lost for words on how to advice her. I need your help. End.
