Federal data collection on sexual orientation and gender identity are essential for public health and policy. The removal of such data from the public record and the loss of future data would set the United States decades backward

Over half of the Chinese people surveyed said that LGBTQ people should be accepted by Chinese society. People who knew an LGBTQ person, were younger, female, and with higher education were more likely to show favorable attitudes toward LGBTQ people. bit.ly/LGBTQChina

Proud to share our new report from @WilliamsPolicy on "Democratic Backsliding and LGBTI Acceptance"
With Andrew Flores and @MiguelFuca we find evidence that attacks on #LGBTI people can be a canary in the coalmine signaling deeper erosion of dem norms and practices.

Our new study shows countries that are highly accepting of LGBTI people tend to have high levels of liberal democracy, higher GDP per capita, and larger populations living in urban areas. bit.ly/GAIdemocracy @AstraeaUpdates @ArcusLGBT @sida @FandMcollege @GAC_Corporate
