KSC olarak bugün, Vahap Coşkun ile yeni kitabı “Sahadaki Kimlik: Amedspor” üzerine bir söyleşi ve imza günü gerçekleştirdik. Açılış konuşmasını kulüp başkanı Nahit Eren’in yaptığı etkinlikte futbol-siyaset ilişkisi, futbolun Kürt meselesi bağlamındaki rolü, Amedspor’un kimlik ve siyasi dönüşümler eksenindeki yeri tartışıldı. Söyleşi için Vahap Coşkun’a ve katkılarıyla etkinliğimizi zenginleştiren Nahit Eren’e ve tüm katılımcılarımıza teşekkür ederiz. Session II explored Asia, focusing on SE Asia & Indo-Pacific. @mrdmrmrdmr discussed China’s rise & the evolving global order; @hatice_lik examined ASEAN’s role in regional security architecture, while @hhertz_ac reflected on colonial legacies’ enduring impact in the Indo-Pacific.

Session I focused on Turkey, Middle East & Europe. @GalipDalay examined transatlantic relations & future of democracy; @betuldoganakkas assessed limits of regionalism after October 7, while @muratyesiltas analyzed Turkish foreign policy amid changing power rivalries

As part of ARI’s Research Node on The Global Indo-Pacific: Connecting Histories and Futures, we organized the workshop “Rethinking the Post-Western Global Order: Turkey, Europe, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific” on May 9 in Istanbul.

I was pleased to contribute to the workshop “New Approaches to Turkey’s Peace Process: Forging Alternative Pathways to Peace,” organized by the National University of Singapore and @FES_Turkey My presentation focused on “The Kurdish Question in a Geopolitical Triangle: #Turkey, the #EU, and the Middle East.” I discussed how new geopolitical shifts and evolving security dynamics are reshaping the issue, particularly through the lens of Türkiye’s growing emphasis on “preventive stabilization”. Many thanks to the organizers, @ilhanlimhmt and participants for the rich and thoughtful exchange and to @barcinyinanc for great moderation.

Glad to join the workshop “New Approaches to Turkey’s Peace Process: Forging Alternative Pathways to Peace” in Istanbul and discuss both the peace process in Turkey and the ongoing transformation within Kurdish society.
