Wow @projecthailmary is the reason movies exist. Can't praise it enough @andyweirauthor is a masterful storyteller. Can't praise the book and film enough. As far as an adaptation is right up there with Lord of the Rings @philiplord took all the science and heart made it magical.

Do yourself a favor. Go watch Project Hail Mary. Then read the book (if you haven't), then watch Project Hail Mary again.

@MarkJCarney I spent my extra 15$ biweekly on a cabin and a jet ski to drive on the lake in front. Thanks Mark

Chat, is Project Hail Mary any good? I know the visuals are incredible, but is the story good? I’m thinking of watching it on Saturday.

Project Hail Mary was fantastic for anyone wondering. No need to give it an in-depth review, plenty of people on here have already given very solid analyses. I give it two thumbs up 👎👎

Project Hail Mary was a 9.5/10 Outstanding cinematography and the practical effects were a breath of fresh air after being bombarded with constant AI and CGI slop for the last fifteen years. They lose a half point for ruining the surprise character in the trailers.

To be clear... on The Basement, I'm focused the stories, not challenging or debunking. BUT... in the last few minutes of every episode, I break down what is and isn't provable. As always, it's up to you to decide.

BREAKING NEWS: Microsoft just confirmed MAJOR plans that will address Windows 11's biggest problems, with the company moving to reduce ads and AI across the system, improve system performance, and restoring the ability to move the Taskbar! Microsoft says that over the course of this year, users will see changes made to the OS that are designed to make Windows 11 more user friendly and faster to use. It's working to reduce overall system load so that the OS runs better on limited memory, updating more system interfaces with WinUI, and giving users more control over Windows Update, including letting users postpone updates for longer. The company also says it's moving to reduce ads and Copilot in areas like Start, Notepad, Photos, Widgets, and more, after listening to feedback from users. All of these changes are designed to rebuilt trust with users and position Windows as a platform that people want to use over macOS and Linux. Improvements to WSL, File Explorer, Windows Search, and much more also on the way. All the details are in the link in the post below!

It’s unbelievable to me that in March 2026 you still can’t pick up your iPhone and say “Hey Siri note down this shopping list” and then have Siri just take your dictation and save it to a note. Like what are we even doing here?

Stupidity is rampant in Canada. The government and mainstream media have lied to people so much that it has created a society of stupid retards. Its painful living among them.

@ruth_hutchings @MichelleLA1981 @GerryTitus2 He’s done absolutely nothing. A few mou for deals that will get lost in approvals and consultation. I’m not counting a 15$ biweekly tax cut as anything. Carbon tax was gone either way. And I work so I get none of the rebates or anything period

So we’re one year in, the economy is worse, unemployment is higher, food is more expensive… Nothing is built, homes are still unaffordable, and Mark Carney is more popular than ever. Canada may actually be home to some of the most brainwashed people on earth.
