Since 1959, Pakistan has been responsible for only 0.4% of the world’s historic CO2 emissions. The US is responsible for 21.5%. What's happening in Pakistan is climate injustice. The countries who are the least responsible for climate change are paying the highest price.

Pakistan is still within its fair share of the safe planetary boundary for CO2 emissions. The global North countries, as a group, have overshot the boundary several times over, driving climate breakdown.
