@jq1234t Really exciting we might finally have a pancreatic cancer treatment. Did your friend have to move to Houston to participate in the clinical trial?

@FT Why has no one in Caracas acknowledged the attack? Why are there no reports from locals about an explosion? Did Trump actually attack Venezuela or is he confused? DoD and WH need to issue a statement.

Parting thoughts from wms25: #triplet-repeat expansions in multiple genes cause severe myopathies and neuropathies. Evidence that some (if not most) are caused by toxic RNA Addressing each individually not financially attractive for now for many of the ultraorphans. Suggestion: following $pepg recent data targeting repeats directly, develop antisense drugs specific to a triplet, agnostic to disease gene. With #RNAediting, you might get double-whammy by changing amino acids, too. Done with 'talking my book'. $prqr $wve $krro $qure

Farmers across the U.S. face financial collapse amid climate disasters, Trump's tariff war, and deep federal cuts. With export markets shrinking and key programs gutted, experts warn that without fast bailout aid, many small and mid-sized farms may go out of business.

@RealJimChanos I keep having a feeling the next financial crisis is going to be the collapse of bitcoin, given how many funds and companies have exposure now.

@business No one has come to the negotiating table, so Trump might set a 20% tariff on everyone and shift the focus to immigration. And advisors might use a different statute this time to reset legal challenges. Not that I'm very good at guessing how insane people think.

The fukshow top to bottom in the management of US government affairs may seem hilarious and entertaining today. But when you consider how long the global financial system’s creditors have been willing to overlook and shrug off existential risks to their surpluses (and the sheer enormity of that wad), it is worth remembering that End of Republic Caligula shit stops being funny when the population which has been undersaving grows increasingly destitute.

Do not miss the forest for the trees - the political infighting is a symptom of something critical: It is dawning on policymakers their only options are crush Entitlements, crush Rates (aka deval the USD & re-accel inflation), crush Defense, &/or crush USTs relative to NGDP👇

Scott Bessent and Jamieson Greer said a deal with China to cut the U.S. trade deficit has been struck. Actual details of the deal will supposedly be released tomorrow. The only way to substantially reduce our trade deficit is for Americans to save more and spend a whole lot less.

Breaking: Growing contingent of traders worried that that markets haven’t really priced in any potential for systemic risk that’s bubbling now beneath surface over the price shock of tariffs particularly on China. Market plumbing — despite that brief spell before the pause — shows calm on headline indicators. What the bears are saying is that the forces have been unleashed; if we don’t get cessation of the draconian nature of tariffs, we could see some nasty market turns once inflation numbers kick in, store shelves start going empty, unemployment begins to tick up, small businesses start to close because of supply chain issues. Not saying I endorse this view but the rosy scenario seems a bit too rosy. Will be interesting to see if the White House backs up it’s optimism w some details tomorrow on whatever is it’s cooking up w China

@donalt Trump supporters won't acknowledge his incompetency until they lose their jobs. Recession and other people losing jobs won't matter. My dad isn't worried about recession because he is on social security so it won't affect him personally.

I’ve never been more disappointed in a group of American policymakers than I am with the @realDonaldTrump administration today. 😞 @POTUS should be ashamed of himself for having already lost his own trade war—just as we predicted weeks ago. Sorry, Main Street, no Paradigm B for you. @SecScottBessent should be ashamed of himself for leaking market-moving news to his buddies on Wall Street. @elonmusk should be ashamed of himself for leaving @DOGE with a paltry $160bn in savings—only 2% of federal expenditures and well shy of his original and revised $2tn and $1tn targets, respectively. I’m guessing @howardlutnick is somewhere deregulating what he has to deregulate to ensure robots replace millions of American workers during the next downturn. Yikes. Yikes. Yikes. And yikes. Turns out the billionaires don’t care enough to prioritize the well being of families on Main Street any more than “Sleepy Joe” did. America needs a complete overhaul of its leadership. With all love, respect, and appreciation for anyone over 60, it’s time for the Boomers to step aside and let us fix your guys’ mess before it’s too late. #FourthTurning
