@ollstweets @RichardT135 Yes, it's a bit grim but I often use it as an alternative if I want some speed - or it's Sunday Family Walk time along the Thames Path.

@RichardT135 The alternative is a face full of dust and trying not to get crushed by the many HGVs/vans pulling in and out along Tunnel Avenue, and re-emerging behind the golf course at the O2.

Whilst the Thames pathway is an amazing scenic route for a leisurely cycle, it doesn't provide a quick or easy route from East Greenwich to Greenwich Peninsula. This short clip shows how narrow the path really is. One day, it will be upgraded!

@RichardT135 @BoothWalks Exactly this. I frequently cycle along this route. It's easy and safe and most people I come across respect each other's way of moving. Some even apologise! It's not ideal but it works.

@BoothWalks Really? I saw the path ahead was blocked and stopped. Waited for a family on bikes and scooters to pass me. The other family decided to move over to the side giving me space to pass, all very slow and respectful. Pushing my bike would have taken the full width of the narrow path.

They should all be pushing!

(And before you say ‘protect others’ it potentially frees up A&E time for ailments or injuries other than head injuries from cycling) If it’s as dangerous as you say out there only a fool wouldn’t wear one surely?

Why are so many people telling my friend @ClarkeMicah he should be wearing a helmet? It's entirely his choice, he looks good without one, and logically it should be car passengers compelled to wear them first. And anyone who drinks beer second. See @BeerHelmetsNOW

Does the door handle on the telephone box look a little low? That's because this is a double-decker phone box - a telephonic folly that can be found outside the former GPO office on Hall Road, Maida Vale. And if that's not good enough for you, just take a look inside it!

@anon_opin Walnut Whips used to have another walnut inside, on the thick bit of chocolate at the bottom. Many moons ago.

Walnut whips are ace but would be even better if the walnut was on the inside. Any other type of 'whip' is bollocks. Listen up M&S.
