@gnsymutterings @ShivrattanDhil1 And of course Jersey where I learn to drive. At broken traffic lights drivers would automatically revert to ‘filter in turn’. It is the indeed a great way to ‘filter’ people’s behaviour for the better.

@YourLondonWalks @TheMonologist I’ve managed to get first editions of all Fletcher’s books except’The London Nobody Knows’. That one is really expensive as a first edition, presumably as a result of the film. His sketches are fantastic.

“Harold And Maude” star Bud Cort has died at 77 years old after a long illness.
Cort also starred in Robert Altman’s “Brewster McCloud” and had roles in numerous other films and TV shows.

I’ll always use public transport to airports if I can but when it doesn’t operate early or late enough for flights then taxis become the only option.

City airport introduce £8 drop off fee for 5 mins. Can’t be far off most expensive parking in the UK. Gatwick now £10 for 10mins. Critics say the unregulated charges are a revenue grab. City says it’s to encourage public transport, Gatwick to combat rising costs.

Wow. 72 year old neighbour assaulted by cyclist in the Greenwich foot tunnel for suggesting a cyclist shouldn’t be careering through at speed in stead of pushing his folding bike. It’s really getting out of hand in there.
