يتشدّق بالأمانة العلمية، ولم يلتزم بها حتى في خُطبه. وينهى عن التسجيل الخفي بغير إذن، ثم يفتح له صدره ويرحّب به. يرفع راية الرفق، ولسانه سوط، وكلامه نار. ويعظّم العلماء في كلماته، ثم يجعل الطعن فيهم ميدانًا بغير علم ولا ورع. يتكلم عن الأدب، وهو أبعد الناس عنه سلوكًا. وينادي بالإنصاف وترك المهاترات، وهو أصلها، وأشدّ من أوقد نارها. فأيُّ انفصامٍ هذا بين القول والعمل؟ وأيُّ قلبٍ هذا الذي يجتمع فيه الوعظ والهوى، والعدل والظلم؟ والله ما هكذا تكون الدعوة، ولا هكذا يُحمَل العلم، ولا هكذا تُؤدَّى النصيحة للأمة، ولا هكذا تكون صفات العالم الرباني الذي يُرجع إليه. لا ندري بأي لسان يجيب إذا وقف بين يدي رب العالمين، ولا بأي وجه يلقى من يعلم السر وأخفى. يقرأ هذه الكلمات، فهل يراجع نفسه ويتوب؟ بل يغضب، ويسبّ ويشتم حين يُكشف أمره المكشوف. ولو كان في قلبه حياة لقال: هذا موضع توبة ومحاسبة، لا موضع خصومة ومكابرة، ولا التماس الحيل لتبرير الباطل. ولكنها القلوب إذا أُغلقت دون الحق، لم تعد ترى النور. نسأل الله السلامة من زيغ القلوب، ونحمده أن عافانا مما ابتلى به غيرنا.

[contd] 2) Now, in order to recognize that this is nothing other than a plot to replace the scholars with themselves and disconnect the salafis in the west from the scholars, you must understand their history with this term. These are the same individuals (just like you hear Hasan as Somali in the audio), who equated the term “shaykh” to meaning scholar. This caused many of the salafis in the west to be extra sensitive whenever they would hear this term being used; some even aggressively rejecting it being used for anyone other than the scholars. The drilled this understanding in the heads of the salafis for so long. That those who raise one another to the level of shaykh only do so to call you to their hizb. It was their understanding before that there was a sinister intention behind using this term for those that are not deserving of it. The goal was to raise the individual by way of this title so that they are seen as an authority. They are Shaykhs and other than them are either du’āt or students. This is so that you are aware of the hierarchy and so you behave accordingly and recognize who makes the decisions and whose word is accepted above all others. Imagine a reality where the one being called shaykh in this time does not even deserve the true title of da’i or student. What a calamity! What is even more astonishing is that these same individuals who label one another and refer to one another as “shaykhs,” they have a problem referring to those who are more senior to them in knowledge, time spent seeking knowledge, and are seen as an actual shaykh amongst the scholars. Those like Shaykh Abdulrahman Al Omaisan حفظه الله. They have a difficult time referring to him as a shaykh because he isn’t part of the hizb. He would be referred to as “Abdulrahman.” No problem. That isn’t important. What is important to note however, is that the same justifications they use for themselves (scholars refer to them as shaykh, form of endearment, respect, etc) all apply to him as well. But ask yourself why this justification did not apply to him? If is truly about those things and not hierarchy in the da’wah and who is to be seen by the salafis as the authorities in the west by way of these titles, we would see no issue on their part in referring to him or those who are senior in the da’wah such as Shaykh Fareed Abdullah رحمه الله and others. This is just to show you that this is more than that. It is nothing other than one of the steps being taken to disconnect the salafis of the west from the scholars of Islam. No one is left but themselves and some fitnah makers in some of the Muslim lands that they never referred to, but now that they have a common enemy, they have united. Unity based on a common target and a common agenda is the name of the game. Hizbiyyah in the name of salafiyyah.

The Overnight Shaykhs Phenomenon | A Ploy of the Sa’aafiqah At a time where they dropped most of the salafi mashaykh worldwide that they once took from, they have now become the “Shaykhs” that salafis in the west should refer back to and whose positions and opinions are to be followed. With every fitnah they import to the west (for their own agendas), you find scholars that they once raised (at times beyond their levels) being dropped. Fitnah after fitnah the list gets smaller and smaller. Until we have reached a point now where most of the names we would once hear, have either been replaced by randoms that have never been referred to as references for knowledge or their opinions in times of fitnah, but even worse, themselves. And so this has now given birth to this phenomenon that we have been witnessing in the last few years, whereby these same individuals who once warned against the usage of the title “shaykh” and (falsely) made it synonymous to scholar, now using it for themselves all in unison. The one who has spent time studying with scholars and graduated from an Islamic University. The one who has not spent time at the feet of the scholars and is mostly self studied, a translator, has been involved in da’wah for decades, and their level of knowledge whilst being involved in da’wah for over 30 years does not equate to even a small student of knowledge. In order to keep the wool over their sheeps’ eyes (i.e. their blind followers), they try and justify the sudden need for all of these individuals being promoted to the level of “shaykh,” so abruptly and so in unison. From their lies and deceptions are: 1) That some scholars referred to some of them as Shaykhs therefore, we are only following those scholars in that. Response: 1) Everyone who has had any interaction with mashaykh abroad or even the general Muslims in the Arab/Muslim world know that: 1) The term shaykh is used loosely and is used more as a form of respect and endearment for someone who seems (outwardly) practicing or involved in some sort of da’wah or studying of the deen. What is NOT meant by this term is a shaykh of knowledge (i.e. scholar). Meaning, that because a scholar has referred to you as “shaykh so-and so” this means that it becomes your title and is now taken as a form of equivalency. That you are now equal to the scholars since you share the same title. To try and justify the usage of the mashaykh for specific individuals while knowing this fact about the term, is blatant dishonesty and deception. 2) That this phenomenon has only been witnessed from these individuals in the last few years. If they are truly ONLY now using this term for themselves because a scholar referred to them as “shaykh,” why did they NOT put it on their posters when these scholars first called them Shaykhs? I mean, that’s the ONLY reason right? They are ONLY following the scholars in using this title for themselves right? 3) Let us say, for argument’s sake, that they are only following the scholars in using these titles for themselves. How is it possible that all of them who are upon the same manhaj (of ghuloo, oppression, & hizbiyyah masked as salafiyyah), have “earned” this title all at once? How is it possible that regardless of: • Their ages • Their longevity in the field of da’wah • Their level of knowledge • Their time spent studying at the feet of the scholars (and some not even known to have done so except during umrah/hajj trips) • Some obtaining tazkiyat from scholars and some not even being known to scholars How is it that with all of these differences they almost ALL have all be promoted to “shaykh” status? Is it all just respect and endearment? Are they all now deserving of it for their knowledge? Is it just following the customs of the Arabs and that is why it is so necessary now to have it on every poster? Anyone with eyes and a sincere heart can see the games that are being played.

UPCOMING PODCAST: From the evil results of the manhaj of ghulū’ and oppression by some who ascribe to the blessed methodology of the salaf (i.e. The Sa’āfiqah), many who were once upon that same ghulū’ or even upon a balanced methodology, have gone to the other extreme. The extreme of tamyī’. Whereby, you now find them cooperating with those they once deemed astray in the name of ‘hikmah,’ praising and promoting those whose manhaj they once openly warned against, and much more. Justifying these actions as ‘having wisdom in da’wah’ or ‘not being too harsh and being balanced.’ And the path that is traversed to arrive at this so-called wisdom is none other than by watering down salafi principles to accommodate and lay the foundations for falsehood and misguidance.
