Y’all let these folks convince y’all burning down businesses is violence, but those same businesses and corporations that literally poison the air you breathe and the water you drink, is just the cost of business. Y’all have been convinced your lives are worth less than buildings

Houston, we have a crisis. Harris County has been named the deadliest place in the U.S. for Black women to give birth, with pregnancy‑related death rates far exceeding national averages. And education and income don't protect Black mothers from this risk.

imagine being able to just go on a walk through the city whenever you want, enjoying the sights and sounds, crossing streets without jacked up ford f250s with blindingly bright headlights running you over, having public transportation a block away if you need it... sigh...

visited new york last weekend and can vouch it really is an "only in new york" thing bc why does walking 10 miles in nyc take so much less mental & physical energy than walking 0.5 miles to the grocery store in houston... car-centric infrastructure has ruined the human experience
Marc Torrence@marctorrence

This will sound like an obnoxious “only in New York thing” but randomly deciding to walk 6 miles home from work because it’s a nice day and you want some fresh air is really an amazing experience you can’t get anywhere else

I don’t think people around the world realize how bad the attack on Lebanon was today. It’s BAD. Like 9/11 BAD. Hospitals are overflowing and do not have enough blood. We still don’t know what the death toll is. This is TERRORISM. Pure and Simple. April 8. Never forget.

I have not seen a single mainstream media outlet give this the attention it deserves. Israel blew up an entire Lebanese town, an ancient place. It should be headline news. There’s footage of it happening. Imagine this was your town, and you saw every building blown up by a terrorist army to prevent you from ever returning. You would at the very least expect wall to wall coverage. Instead it passes without a word. It’s not the only town Israel has blown up. And sadly it probably won’t be the last.

the crew cried as they became the furthest people from earth, they named the Integrity crater after one of the astronaut’s deceased wife. i love humanity, i love how we go to the moon and we name that bright spot after someone loved. we name that crater after the spaceship craft that carried them so far. something about us being so small, barely making a dent in the universe, but still going with love.
