@CardGameVillain I was looking at Yi and Vex for decks to bring my friends who are just learning, so im agreeing there. Its easy to understand the "sit there and play spells" gameplay for sure

@imChipy Hold decks like Vex, Yi, Ahri. Very linear and simple gameplan. They are hard to pilot going second and near auto pilot going first.

Aurora is definitely a hard deck to play. Not the hardest but hard. The high toll games that feel hard to lose are not the average.

I think the price of an Aurora deck might gatekeep it from seeing the amount of play that it should be seeing. Aurora is not hard at all. It doesn't really interact with the things that make the game difficult. Riftbound may be hard, but aurora isn't exactly playing Riftbound

New Teach is a worse 8c Moria (in current metagame) but doesnt force you to include 12 cards along with it. Probably wont break the game

That’s why entry cost is so high. I bet they could run the same tournament, same prizes etc if they just charged $65 and took away the fluff from participating

It's not better than most TCGs, id say its only better than a handful, Yugioh likely being one.

@TobiTCGV The thing is, I can understand card art for boxes and what not since you produce so much, but events don't need nearly as much population. Slap these into pre releases packs and print new ones for the events.

Atlanta was fun, but Riftbound gotta figure out prizing. Feels like if you lose an early round day 1, or even two in the later part of day 1, despite making it to day 2, you will have a really hard time making top 64, where you're "only" playing for an invite. They need to

I've looked into scryfall for inspiration and I feel a lot the bigger features help so much because of the various formats, large card Pool and different bans

If it wasn't for scryfall, I never would have stuck with magic. I think it is hands down the best thing about mtg in general. Whoever is responsible for that website STAYING so good all this time 🙏 you are the best.
