@n4ij4 @nifemi_os @lydiaforson That’s the point. Both of those countries individually have higher populations than the entirety of Africa combined and comparable diversity Therefore a unified Africa would be no less possible of an achievement as they are. So why do you criticise pan-africanists then?

@imTrafalgar @nifemi_os @lydiaforson India and China are countries. what unifies their diverse groups is one government, one passport, one constitution. 'African' has no equivalent. the real comparison is 'Asian' — and nobody argues a Filipino and a Saudi are one people just because they share a continent.

I was in this African country and someone asked me if I was from African. I had to pause and regroup, because why would an AFRICAN ask if I’m from Africa? Until I realized they didn’t consider themselves African. lol

@n4ij4 @nifemi_os @lydiaforson No mass number of people is ever composed of a single ethno-linguistic group. India has gujuratis, punjabs, moguls etc. China has over 300 indigenous languages & people groups. However,l there is something that makes them distinct that we can say ‘India’ & ‘China’ singularly.

@nifemi_os @imTrafalgar @lydiaforson yea, but they are not one people, like the way you pan africanists like to insist africans are... Chinese and Indian people do not "fight" to have a single, unified Asian identity in the way that Pan-Africanism insists on a unified identity for the African continent.

@lydiaforson what does being African mean? what does the Mandinka of west africa have in common with the San of southern africa to make them all african, as in part of one group? it is only suffering/struggle that unites Africa as a whole and withouth it, the fake unity fails

@EuroWars_ @historical_Afr Genocide is the intentional and systematic destruction of a people. Colonisation is cultural erasure through forced cultural, political and religious assimilation. Neither of these describe the mutual trade, exchange and interbreeding between the Bantu and Khoisan.

These people are from the Khoisan tribe in South Africa. They are 100% African, and they are light skinned. These people were skilled hunter-gatherers and nomadic farmers who lived off the land. Stop spreading the myth that in order to be light skinned, you must be mixed with something. Africans come in all shades!

@EuroWars_ @historical_Afr There’s no evidence of genocide of San or Khoi by Bantu peoples. In fact there’s evidence of coexistence and intermingling. Listen to the to Nguni languages, you’ll hear the clicks which were proper to the San and Khoi. This doesn’t show genocide, but peaceful coexistence.

A Message for Africans Who Admire Life in the West Romanian content creator Paul Niculita urges Africans not to romanticize life in the West, saying that the image of comfort, wealth, and order often projected abroad hides a deeper system of control. According to him, material comfort in Europe does not necessarily reflect freedom or well-being, but instead, functions as a distraction from debt, overconsumption, social alienation, and what he described as a suffocating system designed to keep people compliant.

@markessien Cities are not what constitute an empire. All an empire is, is a state that controls multiple nations - regardless of the conditions they live in. It’s a matter of political, cultural and religious unification - not architectural achievement. Ancient Egypt is an example.

As a West African, stop looking for empires in your past (pre 1000). If you really read history, you will understand that most of West Africa was tiny villages with very low population. There were very few real large cities like in modern day. Today is when the empires will be built, because this is the first time real cities are being built.

@Tshisa_ The Rhodesia Front, ZANU and ZAPU had reached a stalemate after the civil war - and so a settlement amongst them took place at the Lancaster House agreement. To facilitate this process, it was agreed that Britain would take control for 4 months, with Lord Soames as governor.

@RayWitDaK1126 @SwimWearPlaya @madeyawook You are speaking of mixtures as though they are evenly distributed. Only Bolivia has a genetic make us that comprises over half the population, everyone else has little to no indigenous blood across the continents. They’re are typically closer to European than not.

@YehovahElElohim @Heal_within96 Many societies who westerners encountered, like Native Americans in Canada, considered EUROPEANS to be the savages, backward, drunkards, obsessed with looting and treating the poor badly. The point isn’t about the definition, but about who gets to call the other ‘civilised’.

You have no excuse for being this dumb when anyone can take 2 seconds to look up the word and see you are dumb. "Civilized" originates from the 16th-century French word civiliser, meaning to bring out of barbarism, derived from the Latin civilis, meaning "relating to a citizen" or "courteous". It entered English usage around 1600 to describe the process of becoming refined, organized, or "polished," as opposed to savage or rural.
