@BreneBrown I’ve listened to so many books by authors you have had on your podcasts! In turn I didn’t listen to news and therefore my stress level was much lower. Plus I have learned so much about myself and how to better teach the little humans in my charge, daily.

@ColinESeale I have often thought about coaching other teachers after being a teacher for 26 years, but knowing some will reject the idea of bettering their craft keeps me in the classroom because kiddos can be coached.

True or false: You can't coach coachability. Please explain your answer.

@vix_kreidel Unfortunately in my district, that leaves my teammates with the brunt of my absence. I can’t do that to them.

Hey #iteachmath folks… where does writing out squared cenitmeters as cm^2 show up in the standards? It seems in 3rd & 4th it’s more about language than notation, which is similar to early understand with fractions.

@rickygervais While Arizona hasn’t done much right during the pandemic, teachers being in the group right behind medical workers has been the right thing to do. Cant wait to see my kiddos especially knowing I am protected.

I used to be constantly disappointed by the human race, but Twitter has helped me lower my expectations.

@phxpatrick We had a patio chair tossed like a volleyball over our fence and our entire fire pit furniture up against the same wall.

Interesting weather caught on backyard security cam today: Yard flooded, wind, hail, some random blowing trash, an American flag from one of our neighbors comes flying in from the right side of the frame... and then the microburst wipes out Addi’s trampoline.

@azdedo Why do students need to do make-up time when they’ve been sitting on the other end of the screen? I’m teaching my heart out and most of my students are learning. Those who aren’t most likely would be struggling in person.

Just saw a headline “Ducey plans make-up summer classes” Ducey, that requires teachers willing to work summers....in a state with a teacher shortage. So his plan relies solely on the teachers who he puts down on a regular basis.

I mean, it should be a local decision since everything else is? We have our own benchmarks. We don’t need AZ Merit.

Here’s a thought. Since the state threw the health metrics and “benchmarks” away... Let’s throw away this year’s “benchmarks” in state testing.
