🚨 Seven months into 2026, quantum stopped being a question and became a deadline. The year so far 👇 January → The G7 Cyber Expert Group adopts a roadmap for moving the financial sector to post-quantum cryptography. Payment systems, central bank infrastructure, systemically important providers → 2026 is formally designated the Year of Quantum Security, launched in Washington with the FBI, CISA and NIST taking part February → Google publicly calls on governments and enterprises to prepare now for the quantum era → Infleqtion becomes the first neutral-atom quantum company to list on the NYSE, raising over $550M. IQM follows with a $1.8B SPAC March → The US Cyber Strategy names post-quantum cryptography a federal modernization priority → @ethereum publishes its post-quantum roadmap. Hash-based signatures at both layers, SNARK aggregation, work targeted around 2029, full migration years beyond that → The UK adds £2B to its national quantum program → Google's Quantum AI team publishes research indicating a future quantum computer could break the elliptic curve cryptography behind Bitcoin far faster, and with far fewer resources, than previously estimated April → @Coinbase's Independent Advisory Board, including Scott Aaronson, Dan Boneh and Justin Drake, publishes its position paper. Google. IBM. Microsoft. Cloudflare. The US government. Each working from different information. All landing on the same three years. Meanwhile not one blockchain has set a date for when classical signatures stop being accepted. 2026 is also the year we became @NaoXProtocol. The Blockchain for the Quantum era. Every transaction is authorized with ML-DSA-87, the NIST-standardized signature scheme defined in FIPS 204 at Level 5, the highest tier the standard defines. Post-quantum at every layer, from the first block. The rest of the industry is planning a migration. We never needed one.
