@VictoriaHarten2@piersmorgan Your President went into this war thinking he could do what he did with Venezuela well it hasn't worked and not only is Europe having to cope with this mess so are you with higher prices for fuel . He wants out of this mess but hasn't a clue how to get out of it .
I can confidently state with absolute authority that I have no idea what’s now going on with this Iran war. For more of my expert analysis, I’ll be on @TheFive in 25 minutes!
@overallguys@NS_CanadaStrong@natnewswatch@LucaCarusoMoro Thanks for your insight. American here. I don’t despise Trump but I’m not a supporter. I’ve seen a few posts from Canadians seriously suggesting that y’all walk away from US trade & go to China instead. The concept is demented.
US has ‘trade irritants’ with Canada, says PM Carney. ‘We have some on our side as well.’ The US does not dictate the terms of free trade with Canada, PM Carney told reporters this morning, @LucaCarusoMoro reports ctvnews.ca/world/trumps-t…

@AnkitR82296@KnightLegg@anthonyTkim There it is! You just made it clear why you are against entering into a trade deal with America. Trump pissed you off so much by calling Canada the 51st State, you would sacrifice your country’s economy, suggesting to replace it with one of the worlds greatest threats
@KnightLegg@anthonyTkim 1. One can not and should not surrender sovereignty of one's country. Thats non negotiatble.
2. Canada is not a state of USA.
3. Aligning with present administration in USA is NOT necessary. Canada can negotiate with USA in a saner administration.
How to lose a trade negotiation
Step 1: travel to minor, inconsequential markets for a year. Fail to reverse the decade of Liberal policies making Canada the second poorest US state after Mississippi.
Step 2: play up a performative “middle power resistance” schtick and mis-cite Vaclev Havel - whose antagonism to political cynicism would hate this ‘elbows up’ embarrassment.
Step 3: run out of time and strategic options while Mexico creates a bilateral alternative to CUSMA.
In 1812, our generals weren’t playing with figurines their New York friends gave them and talking about previous battles to prepare the nation for an anticipated failure from their own lack of preparation and focus.
Canada has a generational opportunity to create the largest and most consequential free trade zone with the largest economy in the world.
This video is a national embarrassment.
@Hobo_Ceasar@KnightLegg@anthonyTkim 1. It does not matter. Somethings are not up for sale, no matter the price.
2. If Canadian bow down to US, they will be treated worse. Remember Chamberlain?
3. Does not matter. Trade agreement are built for mutual benefit.
4. China needs raw materials. Canada has them.
@Mike_Leach1976@mapleblooded@Gates317 I’m no Trump fan, but This made me chuckle. Canada/US economies are way more intertwined than Iran. The rest of the world’s economies are much more impacted by this standoff
@mapleblooded@Gates317 He won’t negotiate with Trump because Trump doesn’t negotiate. You either accept his terms or nothing at all. Nothing at all is the best move, especially as his regime weakens more and more in the eyes of his people. Iran is doing the same thing and having success.
No concessions?
Bro.
We have no leverage. The USA buys almost everything we make. You can’t replace them with Indonesia and Brazil.
Stop acting tough. Get to the negotiation table & get pipelines built.
@kflowersmith@ThugNaught@trainofangels00 Please don’t judge all Americans based on this interaction w- this moron. I hate it when people are so uninformed about a topic, then try to argue their “point”. I do Hope y’all come back someday
@ThugNaught@trainofangels00 Well, Nutlick sure wants us to buy your alcohol. Your farmers loved our fertilizer. Your towns that rely on tourism are hurting and asking us to come back. Even Vegas is offering us deals to come back. So it would appear you DO ask for things from us and miss them now.
Are any Canadians still planning vacations to the US right now?
Given the current way the US is treating Canada and its citizens, it’s surprising to me that travel south continues.
Many of us are noticing heavy scrutiny at the border: interrogations, detailed questions, phone inspections, and an overall atmosphere that feels intentionally designed to make Canadian travelers uneasy.
So I have to ask: if you’re still booking trips to the US, what’s your reasoning?
Are you showing that you still care about how Canada is being treated, or have you simply decided it doesn’t matter?
@ThugNaught@kflowersmith@trainofangels00 Brother, you are fighting outside of your weight class with topic. Trade is business & for you to mention that they’re “entitled & unappreciative” makes you sound fucking retarded.
We’ve lost ~$4.5 billion in revenue because they aren’t vacationing (past 12 mos)
@kflowersmith@trainofangels00 Reading comprehension not your strong suit eh… I said we ask for very little. I said you’re smug, entitled and unappreciative. Again feel free to never come back snow Mexican.
@ThugNaught@trainofangels00 Plus there’s the travel dollars we get. You sounded like a fucking moron when you called them unappreciative. This is business, not a handout.
The only really one way part of the relationship would be military capabilities which we haven’t had to use
@ThugNaught@trainofangels00 We get oil, gas, electricity, lumber. Aluminum, other metals, fertilizer, auto parts for manufacturing…Critical purchase. They buy vehicles, alcohol, electronics, construction, equipment, and a ton of food. Don’t forget about the refined oil & gas.
@NanceeDroo@trainofangels00 Even though my business activities were 100% legal, one bank closed my account. They wouldn’t give me a reason, but we knew why.
@NanceeDroo@trainofangels00 I hate it when banks give you a hard time accessing YOUR OWN money. Happens here too. I own a construction company & have built several dispensaries. They always paid with bundles of cash.
@Montagfar451@trainofangels00@BrandtReacts I mean, some of these yahoos give ya plenty of cause & ammunition, but you don’t seem to care who you insult tbh. The only qualifier is that they’re American. Bravo & let ‘er rip! You moose fuckers can talk mad shit fo sho
@Montagfar451@trainofangels00@BrandtReacts Damn, brutha. Canadians have a reputation in America for being so nice, literally the nicest country in the world. Y’all are some serious assholes, lol. Canadian’s one-sided beef with the U.S. dominates my algorithm & I’m here for it. You guys have some zingers!
