Today… first Test after Virat retired.
It won’t be easy — seeing India in whites without that man @imVkohli in whites. 😭
For years, no matter where India played — Australia mornings, West Indies late nights, home Tests — we waited desperately for these moments.
Yes, Virat’s average dipped. Yes, the BGT wasn’t his best. But greats make comebacks. Even the God of cricket, @sachin_rt, did. I still feel he had more to give.
I don’t know what happened behind closed doors, but it felt early.
He still had years of fight left. ❤️
Still, no player is bigger than the game. I will always love Test cricket.
I’ll still back this young team, like I did after Sachin retired. That love never ends.
And yes — while Sachin will always be my first cricket love — I became an even bigger fan of Virat. There’s no debate. They both are great in their own league.
Cricket goes on. Stars will rise again. I’ll watch, I’ll cheer.
But… some players leave a hole that no one else fills.
Virat in whites was that for me. 💔
