🚨 Bayern Munich are unwilling to meet Brentford’s €70M valuation for winger Kevin Schade.
The 23-year-old remains a target for both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur as interest in the Brentford star continues to grow. 🇩🇪
The 24-year old has scored 7 goals in 29 matches for the Bees this season.

@LNRailway excelling again. Empty train leaves Hemel with no announcements of platform change and still showing on wrong screen. Platform full of people left bemused and annoyed.
English

@SkySportsNews The irony is that Forrest were making good use of the towels fastigiously drying the ball on even short throws to waste time, but everyone has their little ways 🤷♀️
English

@Rufus_45 Foot across the ball, shoulder to shoulder. Perfect defending

Was this a penalty for Newcastle ? #NEWCHE x.com/CenterVAR/stat…

Great that this story is finally being told, but a real source of shame for Government and particularly Lord Timpson and the @MoJGovUK that it has resorted to this, they have had a year to see these businesses right.

@chrispnewrdm71 He couldn't have done anything about 2 of the goals. Woods 2nd was savable, but 50:50 and he was unlucky. Distribution was a bit off at times, but not awful and he punched a few that he could have caught, but think that is how all keepers play now. So not disappointed.
English

@OJ_BFC @ItsMagicM8 @DaveMcLaughli20 @talkbees_ I am not sure it is, our ride won't always be upwards, there will be bumps in the road, but we have a strategy and we can't throw that away for the sake of one player or even one season.
English

@ItsMagicM8 @imcilwee @DaveMcLaughli20 @talkbees_ I get that 100%, but I do think we are taking our Premier League spot for granted should we decide not to replace Wissa (assuming valuation isn't matched). Not saying we'd get relegated, but it could be a bumpy ride. Ultimately, PL survival matters more than our principles IMO.
English

Safe to say Yoane Wissa is going to get a pretty awful reception when/if he returns to Brentford, and deservedly so.
After just 1 good season to produce this amount of headloss is incredibly out of character for him. Always seemed to have huge respect for the club and the fans, but the true colours have shone through.
Add him to the list of Rowlands and Tarky - he’s completely ruined a heroic relationship with the fans.
Off you pop. Won’t be missed! 👋
English

@JImblee1 PS we were pretty poor vs Spurs. Year before it was Newcastle and Southampton. I am worried, but remember the year Villa qualified for Champions League they got destroyed in opening game
English

@DaveMcLaughli20 @ItsMagicM8 @talkbees_ I sat through it yesterday and it was tough, but personally would rather see Wissa training with the reserves. If the club roll over any time the big 6 tap a player up and offer them big bucks and us a derisory fee, the whole project unravels.
English

@imcilwee @ItsMagicM8 @talkbees_ You can disagree all you like - anyone looking at our current squad & Sunday’s dreadful performance can see getting a rat out of the club & bringing in a new forward is best for everyone & makes commercial sense too!
English

@DaveMcLaughli20 @ItsMagicM8 @talkbees_ Disagree completely, this an important line in the sand moment for the club (in fact all smaller clubs at this level). Wissa can have a paddy, but he would be better focussing his anger on his agent who didn't negotiate his contract effectively and incorporate a release clause
English

@ItsMagicM8 @talkbees_ Club need’s to wake up - Giles for sure!! Wissa has to go - if we can get £35m + add ons for a guy 29 in couple of weeks sell & replace. We’re Brentford can’t afford him not playing & a free next year ffs. Based on Sunday need players in before Sept 1st or we’re fucked!
English

@grok @emmahsunshine I went to every Brentford game and don't remember that.
English

@emmahsunshine Yes, Bryan Mbeumo has played as a number 9 (centre-forward) at Brentford, including during the 2023-2024 season when Ivan Toney was suspended. He confirmed this in a July 2025 interview, saying he adapted to the role there.
English

@MagpieJoe_ @Andymb28 @SkySports_Keith If this was the case, it would have been a break clause in the contract. Football is business and contracts are how 'promises' are made, everything else is spin and guff by agents and journos.
English

@Andymb28 @SkySports_Keith Wissa has ONE YEAR left, and was promised to be sold for £26m by Brentford last summer and Newcastle offered £30m.
Get your facts right
English

Eddie Howe on Newcastle fans:
🗣️ “Our supporters acted really well today because they supported the team when we were playing.
🗣️ “They’ve always done that unbelievably well. We have had some tricky moments.
🗣️ I think afterwards, if they want to say something they are free to do that.”

@jack784693 We’re bigger than Bournemouth, Brighton & Brentford. 3 of the luckiest clubs, got lucky at the right time with the riches of the prem.
English

@goldbossed @Evans_Bach @geordieles @Magpie24_7 Yes it has. Newcastle have also denied the agreement Isak is claiming he had. The situation is the same, don't believe the spin or try to claim a moral high ground (especially given the shakey moral foundations of your new found wealth)
English

@Evans_Bach @geordieles @Magpie24_7 Has it been denied by anyone connected to Brentford? We heard similar with isak but they refuse to accept it
English

@pmal5098 @bnanayaw21 @_iamion_ @ToonMouthTyne @TheAthleticFC @David_Ornstein Really, a shrewd club like Brentford that only manages to compete at this level due to optimising player value offered to let him go at a cut price. The club have debunked this but cling onto it if it makes you feel better about your club lowballing
English

@bnanayaw21 @_iamion_ @ToonMouthTyne @TheAthleticFC @David_Ornstein Wissa had a verbal agreement with Brentford that if a CL club come in for him he could leave for £26M that’s not even comparable to the Isak situation where Newcastle have maintained form the outset the fee was £150M
English

@oJaayCo Counter that to the hold up of us signing anyone is down to Frank..He isn't managing Brentford anymore, he is at a top club where he will have less of a say in the process. If you allow him specific players we end up in a situation when he is sacked of having to replace them all.
English

Thomas Frank on Johan Lange:
"Obviously we are signing players here where the processes in Brentford, I'm not saying they were better, I think they're very good.
"I think that Johan and his team is doing a top job, top, but just for them to understand what I'm looking for, so that needs to be aligned.
"At Brentford it was aligned... 'I want that', 'OK, fine', we look at it, boom, and now I need to use more time with Johan and Rob and these guys and then we make presentations.
'No, no, no, I need that instead', so all that is just extra hours every day."
Blokes been in the door a couple of weeks and he’s showing how useless Lange is.
