Maybe, subconsciously, you know deep down that your well-being, your rights, etc, aren't at stake, at least not in any immediate capacity, or to the extent of some minority groups.

Music is political, raving was counter culture (now it’s a cash grab, a very fun one but one nonetheless) but people forget that the rave scene started as an escape and save space from opression which is about as political as it gets. This was never for everyone and for a reason.

@SpikSpigl See this is a problem, but it also reinforces how using the same broad label of "homelessness" to describe both situations is unhelpful, because the person living out their car while working is in a completely different situation than the drug addict sleeping on a bench.

"Homeless" isn't a state of affairs; It's practically a separate breed of person and you have no chance of "becoming homeless" any more than you would become an NBA player.
