@united failed to load my bags. Attendant at BNA cut me off, didn’t even look at me took my info & said I’d get a txt. Cold service. Can I speak to a supervisor “no”, can I have their name, “no”, can I have your name “I’m not giving you my name”. UA used to care. Sad. No empathy.

I've served on three boards. One was a prominent private university. One was an exceptionally fast growing company about to go public. One was a small private company that owned their niche. Every board meeting was about money. We barely talked product, customer (or student) experience, brand, or anything remotely close to the thing the company did. It was fundraising and financials, and, for me, frustration. It was mystifying. We don't have a board at 37signals, so I didn't have my own experience to fall back on, but wow, I just didn't get it. If you're going to have a board, make it an advantage, not an obligation. Find the best damn product people you can, and take advantage of a half-dozen incredible improvement-focused minds you could never hire to work for you, but are there for you. A product board. A service board. A board in service of the product, or a product for the service.

True. One of the first AM radio stations ever was WLS. It stood for "World's Largest Store" by Sears. 24/7 radio ads. They sold farm equipment. Occasional music to break it up. They didn't pay extra for the music. It's not social media it's all ad-supported business models.

SocialFi will kill the promise of Web3 Music - better music monetization. Let me put it this way: Social platforms have never compensated music creators adequately, and there are no signs this will change. Actually, the more social a platform, the less it pays musicians: - Not Social (Bandcamp, iTunes) Hi Pay - Social-ish (Spotify, Tidal) Mid Pay - Very Social (TikTok, YT, FB) Lo Pay When user engagement becomes the North Star, is there still room to maximize creator payouts? After all, paying is a friction point, and friction kills engagement. As Spotify has shifted its focus towards engagement - capturing the listener’s time (Friends tab, Podcast, Live, etc) - the payout to creators has consistently dropped. We are now seeing this same trend happen to some Web3 music platforms. So should artists be worried about Web3 music platforms becoming more social? Should we expect a similar devaluation of music? Can engagement & creator monetization both grow? These are honest questions & I’d love to hear your thoughts!

@davidfowl Native support for shorthand Property mapping assignment. No one does it well. Fastest performance is hand typed assignments but it's error prone - forget to add new props. Reflection based loops are less error prone but expensive. There's gotta be a better way

Interesting that this code works, since the SubString(at+1) in this case is past the last character (ie. char at line[5] is out of bounds) . Yet it returns string.Empty. Second time today that I see string behavior I've not noticed before.
