@mcgoospot @imnolansaunders @College_Crosse But again, the difference is that basketball and football have the ability to do that because they have hundreds of teams. There are 361 D1 basketball teams in the country.
There are 78 D1 lacrosse teams.

I don’t really know what this means tbqh. How is “realistic chance of winning the tournament” an objective selection criteria. Is there any sport where this is included in the selection criteria?

@College_Crosse This is the stupidity of College Lax. In College BB, hockey, baseball, etc... no team is excluded from tourney that has a realistic chance of winning. Due to Lax AQ's top teams with realistic chance of winning get excluded. Duke and ND a few years ago. Same may happen again.

@iamneilbarrett @College_Crosse @mcgoospot Couldn’t without adding. Definitely not advocating taking AQ’s away from conference winners. The issue with AQ’s is conferences are so small compared to other sports.

@iamneilbarrett @College_Crosse @mcgoospot My only argument for expanding would be to balance the field with at-large bids. 54% of the basketball field are at-large, 66% of football, only 44% in MLAX.

@mcgoospot @College_Crosse Probably shouldn't tell you that lacrosse has a higher percentage of teams that make the NCAA tournament than does football or basketball.

The difference in the way people talk about Ohio State's schedule & Duke's schedule is hilarious.
If you think Duke's schedule sucks, cool. But then so does OSU's.
But one is talked about as a conference champion/potential Final 4 team, the other is called a joke.
